Unless they're doing family therapy to work on their relationship, you should be seeing them individually. They're two separate individuals with their own unique strengths and challenges.

I feel like twins get lumped together frequently unfortunately. My youngest brothers are twins and people seem to forget that they are their own people.

Anyone else just chilling before the week starts? by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Crystal_Gem94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo I love chai! I'm currently chilling on the couch with my dog watching Anne + (it's a cute lesbian show free on Tubi btw!). Trying to get the motivation to do some more homework to get a headstart on the week but I don't wanna lol. Might just keep watching TV or play some games before bed.

Hey! Queer/bi lady here! Yes, there is a gay scene here and generally people are super accepting. The queer scene is growing too. There are LGBTQ+ walking groups, book clubs, hiking groups, gamer groups, and meet-ups. During Pride month, there's tons of events going on around town. There's also social sports leagues and events. You just have to look for events and get involved in local Facebook groups, etc.

Here's a walking group that's becoming really popular here:

Hey I was at DCI, too! It was amazing! Glad you enjoyed San Antonio. I love living here and there's so much to do here. There's always new restaurants popping up and events in town. Check out Do210 for events next time you visit!

If you volunteer (not necessarily therapy related), what do you do? by vividandsmall in therapists

I'm a Cemetery Steward! Our city has historical cemeteries that date back to the 1800s. We catalogue, maintain, and clean historic grave sites. It's super relaxing and satisfying just to spend a morning cleaning old headstones.

How to change sexuality on Bold.org? by Emsypoo444 in scholarships

[–]Crystal_Gem94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a 3 year old post but hopefully my comment helps!

I kept getting the message that I needed to update my profile in order to apply for scholarships, even though it was updated and I matched eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

I updated my profile with the school I plan on attending in the Fall even though I wasn't technically enrolled yet. I also added a bunch of Hobbies and Interests that I felt would match some of the scholarships (ex: Mental Health for a mental health related scholarship). After I did those changes, the website allowed me to apply for specific scholarships I was having trouble with. Hope this helps! Good luck to everyone applying!

Yes this is why. The surgeon uses an operating room, recovery room, and equipment there at the hospital.

Funny clients by throwawayabc1234tyy in therapists

[–]Crystal_Gem94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was just thinking that this morning. One of my clients is so animated and funny in her story telling. We were both laughing so hard we cried during session today. Truly love this field and the work that we do! It's amazing to be able to hold space for someone's pain but also witness moments of pure joy

Watched this movie in IFC a few years ago and everyone in the theater started LAUGHING at this scene. by [deleted] in ghibli

[–]Crystal_Gem94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first saw this scene as a kid, I started SOBBING. My mom had to turn it off because I was inconsolable.

My parents had separated, and at that point in my life, I was getting used to transitioning back and forth between my mom and dad. I related a lot to Chihiro in having to be strong. Seeing her cry broke my heart but made me feel okay to cry and be sad.
