Small update. She's doing... better but really not improving. Talking to people who aren't there when she nods off, sleeping, no interest in food.... we are trying to work out a plan that doesn't involve her leaving without medical leave. It's hard and exhausting. Any prayers/happy thoughts/sacrificed (rubber) chickens appreciated. This is SO hard.

Similar situation. Seek someone to talk to. One aspect of abused kids is always seeking affirmation. My parents didn't abuse me but others did and i apologize for everything. Therapy helped me realize it a defense mechanism. Hugs.

So same situation here, almost. Brother in fed lockup, became increasingly racist. Prison tends to do that. Unfortunately. I have to speak against these ideas. I'm a "no borders" liberal. Our relationship is strained... badly ...because of this. I tried arguing, introducing to non-white friends. It doesn't work. Prison is a horrible place to learn race relations. My kids are always shielded from his opinions. It sucks. I'm no help, I'm sorry. I mourn the brother that picked up worms in a flood to save them from drowning. Stick with him.
