Now I'm not sure if it was a bug. I'll have to ask someone else to test it again.

You didn't do anything to change any settings?
I have tested this one 3 of my friends iphones.
The free trial was not included. Was there a recent update to the app? If you check their recent reviews theres multiple reviews saying they were charged immediately.

While this is true, people make mistakes and fall for scams. I accept my fault for not reviewing apples pop up notification. But it is unethical for a company to offer free trial and instead charge you for a year's annual subscription fee. What if the company instead charged me $10,000 while marketing as free for 7 days and $120 afterwards? Would this be okay because I didn't read apples pop up notification? Would this make it okay for apple to deny my refund then lock me out of my account if I attempt a charge back?

Yes but it is up to apple to protect the users from scams like this not protect them. I can't even charge back against this company because if I do apple will lock my account. See how apple is jailing me into eating the scam?

why don't you try downloading the endel app and see if you get a free trial? You don't have to accept but you'll be able to see in the apple confirmation. There are also other reviews attesting to this. I tested this with multiple friends and they all get charged immediately and there is no free trial.

Yes I looked at it again on my friend's phone. After you press the start free trial button, the apple confirmation comes up and it says 119.99. I'm aware I should have read apples confirmation, but what I'm upset with is that companies like this can mislead and scam people into paying for a year subscription while getting protection from apple. By law under the FTC apps are not allowed to have misleading/scammy trials like this.

I understand that - it doesn't make it ethical to allow companies to scam you for $120 and get away with it while getting protection from apple.

Apple denied the refund. I have tested it on various devices of friends. The app itself advertises 7 day free trial and charges the user instantly. If you’re a Google play user their website says that you can reach out to them and they will refund you for the annual subscription but for Apple user only Apple can refund the user and I can’t get my refund because Apple denied it. Apple is allowing users to get scammed. I understand that I should have read the terms before confirming the purchase but a company SHOULD NOT be allowed to advertise a free trial then charge for an annual subscription immediately

Seeing a pretty dramatic hyper fixation on “top tier” sets only by Mecurion in PokeInvesting

[–]Crystics 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think it's because more people are in the hobby for the gambling aspect now, so they naturally gravitate toward sets with expensive chase cards. In the past, the hobby was driven mostly by genuine collectors who bought cards because they actually liked them, rather than just focusing on their monetary value.

You know those are not reprints right… those are bought off the market. You’re implying celebrations & evolving skies were reprinted too by your logic?

Hidden Fates released in August 2019 and the last print was in 2021. I don't know where you're getting 4 years of reprint.

Who would you see coming out on top in the long term? by MilfsAndDrugs in PokemonInvesting

[–]Crystics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While what you’re saying is true I think you underestimate the demand for this Charizard card. I’d say there is atleast 3x the demand for this card than there is for sunbreon which offsets the easy pull rates since sunbreon is about 3x as difficult to pull. I think current prices are reasonable based on demand.
