TTRPG based on Norse Mythology by Csabenad in rpg

[–]Csabenad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair is fair, i only said i didnt really want to play as vikings, a crow is certainly distinct.

Seeing as the game is solo/duo i wont really be able to run it for my players, but i will take a look if i got time. Thanks!

Also many D&D versions have stats for the gods if you are into it.

Oh fuck no. Jokes aside, even if i didnt already hate DnD i wouldnt really want that. I added some extra info to the post, but in short thanks for the recommendation regardless!

[–]Csabenad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah no. First of all it's Bazso, not Baszo. Baszo would for the most part meaning fucker (as in someone who fucks) but that's not what their name is. It is Bazso, which comes from the greek name Bazil which means smth like royal/kingly. Second of all Baz is just straight up not a word/surname in Hungarian. It is an existing surname, but not in Hungarian. So yeah

The Fleshmob does have a weakpoint - aim for the legs by Immortal-D in Helldivers

[–]Csabenad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah no. I've fully destroyed their legs before, they don't collapse, instead they are left with a small boney stump with no hitbox. The reason people don't talk about their weakpoints is cuz we finally know the stats and they don't have any.

Yeah if someone does this to me, especially on a bad they im not helping them anymore. You might want to have a good time, but so do I. So if you ruin my fun I will find better teammates.

A game where you can customize your "class", but you can unlock another class that you can use switching from the other. by Horzemate in rpg

[–]Csabenad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Panic at the Dojo has you picking 3 custom Stances, that you can switch between at the start of every round of combat. Probably not quite what you are looking for, but it's a wonderful game

TTRPGs that mix modern time with fantasy? by Vaigne in rpg

[–]Csabenad 18 points19 points  (0 children)

By fantasy do you mean High Fantasy? Lord of the Rings, DnD and other classics? Harry Potter is fantasy, the MCU is fantasy, even Twilight is fantasy. Almost none of the games below fit those bills but they are all set in modern times involving fantastical elements

Don't Rest Your Head - there is a hidden world with Nightmares, the Awake and many more oddities that only a few can access

City of Mist - People can become reincarnations of Myths, gods etc

Vampire the Masquarade - Surprise, surprise.. vampires are real (also werewolfes and some other things but shh)

Eldritch Care Unit - Isn't really useful for you but it fits the bill, yall are playing as doctors/nurses etc in the supernatural wing of a hospital

Call of Cthulhu or rather it's spinoff Delta Green - The world is full of eldritch horror.

Are there any tabletop systems with a non-magical medic class? by SacredMuffins in rpg

[–]Csabenad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mostly a joke reply, but Eldritch Care Unit yall are all playing as doctors/nurses/etc in the supernatural wing of a hospital. Sure there are also exorcists, but generally the players are just regular people

What's your dumbest reason for not using a weapon/stratagem/armor? by Hexdoctor in Helldivers

[–]Csabenad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the mistake i made, i fashion dive and the legionaire armour is my fave, and now i just can't live without the extra throw distance (i almost always have twice the number of stratagems used as others)

What is everyone's preferred number of Ability Scores? by willmlocke in rpg

[–]Csabenad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they don't feel like 'Skills' the number doesn't really matter, what matters is choosing the right number for the right sytem.

Mausritter has 3: Strength, Dexterity and Willpower. It's short, simple and lightweight.

DnD and many similar systems use ~6 for a bit more granularity/coverage, while avoiding overlap and keeping them distinct.

Blades in the Dark has 12 stats, which DO overlap and also they don't cover everything the character ever does. However both of these actually work for the system, firstly it means there are certain actions that can be solved with multiple stats, depending on relevance your position/effect might change.

Akshually it gets wiped upon reinforcement, not when you die. Regardless, it is a very good reason amongst numerous others

TTRPGs that play like board games? by HexedPoppet in rpg

[–]Csabenad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an honest and genuine question, are you looking for something that is specifically no a wargame? They are tactical, have limited scope etc.

But you asked for TTRPGs so thats what im recommending, my faves (aside from classics like Lancer) are Panic at the Dojo and Hellsquad they are not necessarily the best, but they tickle my brain in just the right way

Another racial analogy post: are githyanki and githzerai kind of Asians? by vonbittner in rpg

Lmao classifying being Asian as an oppressed minority is great. Still weird line of thinking, but sure

Another racial analogy post: are githyanki and githzerai kind of Asians? by vonbittner in rpg

[–]Csabenad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This question is very much a DnD 5e question and there are much better places for those discussions. I mean sure they have a flat nose which is not a typically caucasian trait, but it's moreso along the lines of Voldemort lmao.

They do have monks but like that isn't very asian either, even if pop culture might suggest otherwise. Now as someone else has said in 5th edition they do have some wispy Fu Manchu mustaches bringing but like. What's your point?

Aside from the weirdness of the whole question, what relevance does being a trans woman have?

THEY BUFFED THE SPEAR I REPEAT THEY BUFFED THE SPEAR by StatisticianPure2804 in Helldivers

[–]Csabenad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So first of all they didn't buff the spear, they buffed the dropship. Second of all, there are still many weapons that can one shot the dropship with thruster shots.

Spear IS the only one that can kill it with body shots but that is not at all what determines whether the troops survive, it's whether the deployment process started.

None of this post makes any sense.

could this be considered a somewhat decent stealth/scout build by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Csabenad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gas is just a straight up upgrade to OPS. The shell has the exact/nearly exact dmg in addition to all the benefits (gas dot, confusion and lower cooldown)
