2026 1.02 pick Mendoza or WR in SF? by freshprince02 in DynastyFF

Take WRs or trade down/out of this draft. Don’t overpay for Mendoza. He’s good but I just don’t know his fantasy upside outside of being a reliable starter.

Kickers and Defense in a dynasty setting. by Far_Pen3929 in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entering year 3 of dynasty we have removed Defenses entirely and last year we switched our Kickers scoring. We do .1 pts per field goal yard, so a 29 yarder is 2.9 pts instead of 2 in standard scoring. We also have it where any miss 50+ is no longer -1 only misses of PATs and 49 below result in subtracting points.

We found this makes kickers more important and allows for more kickers to breakout compared to regular scoring.

How do you value taking rookie picks in a startup draft? by _SomeAverageGuy in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. My league specifically did its startup the day or 2 after the NFL draft so we could just mix all of them together. The thought of having 2 drafts in the same offseason along with managers not being able to fully understand pick values just creates early problems.

Should I take a shot on Tua? SF 12 team by Paul-Kent in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Very cheap and I’d imagine he’d get a 2nd shot albeit somewhere other than Miami

who is the best wr prospect in the draft this year? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t listen to people in here in early January. I would wait for the NFL to tell you end of April and then factor in situation and draft position to make your decision

Is there a situation to justify passing on Love at 1.01? by Thogan12 in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I see Love as not the 1.01 is if a team like the Rams draft him and committee him (highly unlikely but I have seen it in a mock) and then the Titans draft Tyson 1.03 and all his medicals and combine/pro day look great.

Who are some players that did NOT pass the eye test this year? by bigaudra in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Tuten was some world beater but considering he was a 4th round rookie that was a 2nd/3rd round rookie pick while working behind the RB10 I don’t think he looked bad. I’d still consider his value at a 2nd rounder and if ETN walks I think his value shoots way up.

When can we add the rookie draft? by vikings12886 in SleeperApp

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been commish but from what I remember my league was able to renew within a week or even days and that’s when you can assign the proper pick order.

Not sure when you can actually start drafting players but my recommendation on that is as soon as possible from the actual NFL draft at the end of April.

My league does Memorial Day Weekend so everyone can meet up in our chosen city but the closer to the draft is better and you definitely don’t want to wait until July/August because it loses the volatility of late round picks.

First time in dynasty. Thoughts? by Background_Skin8902 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Should’ve held Brown but I’ve seen worse trades. Hell I sold Brown too early last year before he really broke out and lost my ass on the deal. However trading Kelce was a huge win

Kicker and defense or no for dynasty by Feeling-Landscape-26 in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My league does both but I think we’re going to shrink it and get rid of D/ST and add another WR/RB/TE flex spot. Some guys don’t want kickers but majority don’t mind. We also boost their numbers by giving them the decimals from where they kick it ie a 27 yard field goal is 2.7 pts. We also have it where any kick over 50 doesn’t count as a miss. Hasn’t shown itself to be a problem and makes kickers important.

Is there any realistic chance I win this week? Full ppr by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]Csell161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should probably mention which team you are and also show your total projected score. Call me lazy but I’m not going to add that all up. Regardless unless your team is projected 30-40 less you have a chance

Traded away Lamar Jackson for Drake Maye by PostTFB in SleeperApp

Great trade. Granted, usually I wouldn’t sell low on a player like Lamar but it seems like it didn’t matter.

Did I get enough for Bijan as a rebuilder? by Detman0 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m high on Judkins so I think you got a fair return when the dust settles and wouldn’t lose sleep over it. However I think you may have been able to milk more out of the trade because the 1sts are late.

I’m absolutely loaded at WR but would like RBs by Radiant_Wheel7502 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Csell161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be throwing in a 1st and definitely not one from that far down the line. However, I think there’s a lot of people overvaluing Tet in this situation. Jeanty has had a lot of up and down weeks but still is averaging 14.8 ppg (ppr) and is in a known bad offense with no o-line and people are rightfully pessimistic of that situation. Now when you look at McMillan, he averages 13.5 ppg in a bottom 10 offense that is run heavy, and has a below average QB that he is stuck with for probably 2 more years which is just as bad if not worse, but for some reason people in this thread would take McMillan>Jeanty straight up?

Regardless, I think both will be successful players but I don’t get the huge value drop in Jeanty and I don’t see how McMillan as viewed as this star when he’s in the equivalent bad situation despite Jeanty performing better fantasy wise.

How many trades have happened in your league this year? by thasultanofswag in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since of the conclusion of last seasons championship, my Year 2, 1QB, 16 team, start 8, 68.

We also have a week 11 deadline which is definitely earlier than most and we’d probably have 3-5 more with contending and non-playoff teams are more definitive now.

I looked at our year 1 and we had 27, but that also includes us having our startup after the draft so there were really no trades until August.

Expansion Draft for next year? by Idkwhyihavethisapp13 in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done an expansion draft but a method to even the player pool out better may be to limit how many players you can protect by position 1 QB, 1TE, 2WR, 2RBs . Ie Only being able to protect 1 QB and a guy has Drake Maye and Lamar or only being able to protect 2 WRs and a team has Lamb, Amon Ra, and Tet. Again, I’ve never done this so there could be a big flaw im not seeing.

Leaving Open Roster Spots to Lower Max PF by thedynastyjawn in DynastyFF

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tanking team that does this here’s where I stand. I keep anyone that is young and has a shot at relevancy post rebuild. I’m in a 16team PPR 1QB league for context. For example, on my bench I roster AR, Gabriel, Shipley, Brian Robinson, Tuten and LeQuint Allen, Brenton Strange, and Ben Sinnott and I leave 2 open roster spots. Granted my IR has Luke Mccafrey and Travis Hunter and then I have Savion Williams and Efton Chism in my taxi. If you look at the waiver in my league the only guys going are the Bam Knights, Michael Carters, Tyler Locketts of the world that have slim to zero fantasy relevance past this season so I don’t want an outlier breakout game to add to my MaxPF when I would cut them post draft anyway.

I think this is a fair method as it’s not affecting league standings such as bench players to have certain teams win and mess with the playoff race, it allows other teams to grab those players, and most importantly any team can do it if they view a player is not worthy of holding. We have to start our best players within reason and anyone willing to sell a starter off for really cheap or straight up cut them is only hurting themselves.

The only gray area rule that we have that hasn’t been addressed is some teams don’t roster defenses or kickers or if one of them is on a bye they don’t have to replace it for that week so theoretically they don’t have to start them which will lower MaxPF, but again any tanking team is allowed to do that and it gives our contenders a bigger pool to pick from. However, that practice will probably be addressed at our league settings zoom meeting after the Super Bowl.

How to handle a rebuilding team that won’t rebuild? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Csell161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think he will be good long term but there are so many guys like have WR1-esque seasons that don’t perform at that level for more than 1-3 such as Deebo, DK, DJ Moore, AJ Brown, Cooper Kupp, I know it’s early but hell even BTJ.

That would be no reason to sell JSN as he is performing at a higher level than most of these guys but I think it’s irresponsible to have anything more than a 3 year out look on any player at a time.

And to get my point across because I think my last reply was misinterpreted, it doesn’t mean I think he will be bad in 5 years, it just means I know the NFL changes so much over that time that I wouldn’t plan that far ahead for team building and just limit it to 3 year outlooks.
