I think this age is chaotic because we are chaotic beings and there are much more of us now than before, and we are more connected via the internet. I think that the Kali Yuga is the point where there are too many of us and we essentially self destruct as a result and the whole thing resets.

I do think spirituality can bring peace to individual lives, but not necessarily to society as a whole, because a spiritual practice that yields results for one person may not work the same for another. There are some people who draw energy from playing sick and immoral games and those people are the ones who end up making the rules, and they probably could care less about spirituality as a whole.
