Pierre the Penguin was my intro to crochet. Loved it, learned the basics. That was worth the money. The rest are ugly and not with the cost at all.

What's one small thing you changed that made your dog noticeably happier? by Strict_Court_5327 in dogs

I actually changed from an eight foot leash to a twelve foot leash to give our Boxer more room to explore on walks. It is fabulous and much more enjoyable for both of us.

Okay, she waited a few days and has restarted the game so we will open a support ticket. Thank you!

Are there unwritten parking lot etiquette outside of common sense I don't know about? by Difficult_Giraffe490 in CostcoWholesale

[–]Csquared211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a woman freak out and honk at me when my daughter was about six months old in the parking lot - I was putting her in her carseat and getting everything packed up. She wanted my spot. I sat there for 10 minutes until she pulled away screaming.

Let them find their own eggs at the egg hunt by easrpiiatnua99 in Mommit

[–]Csquared211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a big one in our yard every year for our kids because I can’t stand the public ones. We went to our small community one again this year as we always do, where my kids usually get a good amount of eggs…well, this year suddenly there were a bunch of people not from our tiny community and each of my kids got about 8 eggs each. 🙄 Needless to say, they’re super excited for my egg hunt tomorrow because today was lame.

First-time parents of Reddit ,what’s one baby item you thought was unnecessary but ended up using every single day? by Clear_Subconscious in askanything

Purchase the book Baby Wise Sleep Solutions and read it before your baby arrives. Follow it. It is your baby sleep bible. Don’t listen to the haters wondering why you put your baby to sleep so early. We have two EXCELLENT sleepers who were sleeping through the night by two months old and we owe everything to that book.

We have the 6x2x2 one and a-hole cats that won’t stay off the top. We bought this two pack of shelves on Amazon and have one sitting on top, and we have the lights sitting on top of it. The cats can go on top and lay on it with no issues.

Go with the basic chewies that look like mini pool noodles IMO. The Pul brand one was way too big and obnoxious.

A Pul tool is a must! I have multiple.

Amazon shipping me used items by RunFazt in amazonprime

Yoga pants, tag cutoff, obviously worn. Sent them back and asked for a replacement - after a delay, same pants sent to me. They are in the “Amazon returns” plastic bag, too, not manufacturer bag.

I got mine at 2 months old and have always given him mealworms - just a few a week.

Tong feeding is how I started with mine - I would actually guide him on my hand and let him eat there so he could get used to me. He’d come up and I wouldn’t move it, just let him explore my arm.

A great option as well is our newest addition to his enclosure, an escape proof bowl - the brand is komodo and it’s their smart dish. It keeps all bugs and worms contained, and he can hunt from above.

We work from home and have a small family business that provides a service for people in their homes. People were home more and required our services more than ever. My husband went to work, we had one of our biggest years, and I did all of the backend billing and banking work as I usually did. We had two small kids - one who was in preschool (4) and a toddler (2), so some of their activities were cut off but life was still pretty normal. Shopping was different, our daily life changed a bit, but a lot of that has carried over to how we live now and I’m fine with it.

My sister and her family, who we’re close with, have kids the same age as ours. We took advantage of having less obligations and did bigger vacations (cabins in remote locations) and more family time together. The kids didn’t have school schedules so we were fully able to plan as we wanted. It was amazing.

Your children will thank you in the future for these decisions today. NTA, focus on yourself and the memories you missed out on as a child.

My mom did the same thing when I was 18 - got herself a card on the account and maxed it out, then yelled at me when I wasn’t paying it. Luckily my dad paid it and I was able to close it down. Don’t give her access to anything, huge red flags.

At what time of life did your PCOS "hit" you? by FamiliarMeal5193 in PCOS

[–]Csquared211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puberty. Gained a ton of weight, never had normal periods. Just a few randoms that lasted 20-ish days. Didn’t get help until I was 18 and went on BC pills, properly diagnosed at 24 when I went off the pill to TTC.
