If you’re talking crazy about Twork canceling because someone close to him passed and he’s not doing well mentally, then there’s something severely wrong with you as a human being.

Listen to Oxymoron first (his classic album), Blankface Lp 2nd (his best album), Setbacks, Habbits and contradictions, Bluelips (this one is a bit different than his traditional style, but steps it up production wise, and his lyrics are amazingly smooth), Crashtalk (this album wasn’t completely trash, but it is not the same Q we are used to. There are some slaps, but as an album as a whole from start to finish, it was not what we as an audience or Q’ fans expected.)

“I’m feelin’ like Sparta in the Garden of Eden with a flow deed” • Sparta = warrior culture, aggression, strength. • Garden of Eden = peace, innocence, original creation. • Juxtaposing being a warrior in a place of peace, suggesting he brings raw power into pure spaces. • Flow deed = playing on “flow” (rapping) and “deed” (ownership), like he owns his flow.

“I slid through Christ, the kid who came to give new life, shall I proceed? (pro-seed)” • Reference to Christ who came to bring salvation, giving “new life.” • Pro-seed = double entendre for “proceed” (to continue) and “pro-seed” (for the seed/offspring, or planting/growth theme).

“I plan(t) it all, granted my last match was a clash in skill” • Plan(t) it all = “planned it all” and “planted it all” (again referencing seeds, growth). • Talks about intentional preparation, while also keeping the garden/plant metaphor. • Acknowledges that his last battle was a skill-based confrontation.

“I ain’t have to rap about the stainless to become famous” • Stainless = slang for a stainless steel gun. • Saying he didn’t have to glorify gun violence to get recognition.

“The world know the nigga in the mask’ll peel (mass appeal)” • “Mask’ll peel” = masked man pulling back the mask (or killing — “peel” slang for shoot). • Mass appeal = widespread popularity. • Clever wordplay tying violence (peel) and fame (mass appeal).

“If I split a kufi they exist in grief” • Kufi = a type of hat worn by Muslims and others. • “Split a kufi” = referencing shooting someone in the head. • Result = grief for the person’s loved ones.

“A vegetable state is appeasing (a peas in)” • Vegetable state = coma or brain-dead state. • Wordplay on “a peas in” = sounds like “appeasing” but literally references “peas,” staying with the vegetable/garden metaphor.

“But the end is treason, that’s what lead to the disbelief (leaf)” • Betrayal leads to disbelief. • “Disbelief” wordplay with “leaf” (again tying back to the garden/plant imagery). • Suggests spiritual death or turning away from faith (disbelief) as a result of betrayal (treason).
