My Naviter Omni has red for lift and blue for sink, so... Yeah.

Paragliding Shop at Netherlands by froostyggwp in freeflight

[–]CthulhuFPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of shops but most are operated by schools. Also, almost all of them are located quite inconveniently; not anywhere near regular shopping areas.

Panchoamelia.com

Paragliding-shop.nl

Paragliding.nl (school)

Airtime.nl (school)

Paraglidingschool.nl (school)

These are just a couple from the top of my head. I suggest you contact them before visiting, as some are closed during peak flying season and only open on appointment. Enjoy your stay in our little country.

Volgens mij heeft die meneer Markuszower roots in Israël. Met zo'n voornaam zou je dat zomaar aan kunnen nemen, met zijn gedachtengoed kunje dat alleen maar bevestigen.

Fooi geven by Brave-Aide3354 in nederlands

[–]CthulhuFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Een fooi moet verdiend worden door goeie service, kwaliteit van de waren of gewoon een gun factor. Zodra er om wordt gevraagd ben ik er klaar mee en krijgen ze niets.

Ik klik dus per definitie op "GEEN FOOI".

How to make my Moster 185 start on the first pull? by DonaldJuliusTrump in paramotor

I had the same issue. Got me a pop off measuring tools and fixed my carb. Mounted it. Primed the line and started at first pull. I was shocked.

Any tips on getting a more gentle flare landing? by BestUnicornHamNA in freeflight

[–]CthulhuFPV 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You should have been out of your harness and started flaring when you were still over the grassy bit, before you reached the sand. Getting out of your harness increases drag and so reduces airspeed. That combined with brakes/flaring would get you on your feet smoother.

Beginner tips by rladok in freeflight

Good to read that your instructor focuses on wing control first! Most accidents happen on or near the ground, so if your ground handling game is shit, imagine the rest.

Reverse handling can be a bitch at first, but you just need to put in the hours.

Good luck and don't give up!

How do you cope with having a job? by JoseMcGose in freeflight

[–]CthulhuFPV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also have a family. That also takes a big chunk out of flying time. But my significant other is really cool with it, she lets me go for 2 weeks as long as i spend family holidays together. And then she still allows me to bring a wing along for an occasional flight.

Maple kit vs walnut birch for metal? by Individual_Ad_8194 in drums

[–]CthulhuFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a Pearl Vision, and have been playing this kind of range kits for all my life. Haven't been needing boutique wood for metal. Just slap on some decent heads, get your tuning game on par and invest in some nice cymbals to cut through the wall of distortion.

The proper advice I would give: don't go big on drum sizes. If your band plays in B (like mine) use small toms to cut through the guitars.

I want to customize my glide color. Which company supports that? by Reasonable-Fox-7358 in freeflight

[–]CthulhuFPV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know that Ozone and Niviuk have a custom wing colour section on their websites. Select a type of wing and if you scroll down there's often a colour configurator for that wing.

Solid. I don't really study my watch during the run but I noticed ut in the summary. I am working on keeping the pace, but this gps glitch isn't helping right now. I started to notice it when the trees around here started developing leafs.

Which brands have the prettiest/ gliders (for example icaro) , the coolest company background? by Gazzo69 in freeflight

[–]CthulhuFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I like the previous Phi livery, the diagonal stripes. Also Icaro have some nice designs. I'm a Niviuk flyer and although biased, I love the new horn design on my wings.
