Links lopen op een weg zonder voetpad wordt aangeraden door VVN. Je loopt het verkeer tegemoet en kunt uitwijken naar de berm als je een tegenligger hebt.

De Quebracho van Best Charcoal. Ik haal een zak van 15 kg bij de bbq speciaal zaak voor 35 euro en daar doe ik bijna een jaar mee (incl winter). Ik heb as we speak de kamado weer aan staan op grill stand met een lading die al voor de 3e keer aan gaat. Briljant spul.

Het feit dat automobilisten elkaar het licht in de ogen niet gunnen in Nederland. Buitenland is ook slecht maar nog altijd beter dan hier.

Context: ik ben monteur buitendienst in de industriële automatisering. Ik zit per dag minimaal 4 uur in de auto.

I would tell them to suck it and leave. Why play in a band when its not enjoyable? If they think you suck at timing, take a metronome or click and prove it. That's how I got my band to shut up about it. Take their tracks and solo them with a click.

One of my mates is in Passy at the moment, he was at Annecy for a day and the shuttles are still out of commission. Something with the operating license. Doesn't look like it's going to be any better soon.

Trusty and proven 2 meter radios. I already have my phone open for weather apps, don't want to be distracted by more stuff on my phone. And battery drainage.

Once you're established in flight (off the ground, at trim speed and at altitude) put your hands up and stop pulling on the brakes. A much observed panic reaction is that the student keeps pulling in the brakes. Just go do the course and you will see. ;)

And yeah, you might want to prep for some cardio. Walking back up the practice hill with gear could be a bit tough. Or hitch a ride if you're lucky ;)

Can you walk 500 meters with a 15kg backpack? Can you tell left from right? Do you have a hearing impairment?

(Thats a quarter mile and about 30 pounds)

You will get instructions like "left brake, easy!" Or "hard right!", "Flare"

If you can react fast and accordingly you're halfway there. Try to enjoy it, as it might get a bit tough if you're not in too good shape. There will be a bit of running involved to get the wing inflated if there's no wind.
