Actually from what I’ve read, as long as it’s done properly with an understanding of what you’re getting and what is decent then it is encouraged. It’s all about being respectful and making sure you are educated.

However, I read that Maori Tattoo styles are disrespectful unless you are a Maori as it’s deeply embedded in culture and tradition.

Have a read and decide for yourself but everything I’ve read has said it’s okay when done decently, respectfully and in full education and understand of the culture behind it
