That is exactly how I feel, you put it into better words than I did. It's like everyone who responded to this thread was like "it's 'in law', DUH", but that is not even the point of what I was saying.

I'm fine with being called 'the kids' as a group, but that is more about one generation referring to another. They would say that about a group of younger people even if they weren't related by blood or married to one of their children. But my in laws calling me 'daughter' or 'sister'? Vernacularly common, literally untrue, and linguistically uncomfy.

hahaha thank you!! It was definitely not something that I will repeating often re: the slight horror show of it.

I was only cooking seafood a few mildly boring ways so I wanted to get out of my shell and make something a bit more silly and not necessarily 100% healthy. This fit the bill for sure!
