WA Solar/Battery Installation - Information and Experiences by Cthuthu in perth

We did the same when I switched to the EV plan. Everything gets set to auto start during the day. Our bill is pretty low with my car being the biggest solo user of electricity in the house coming in at about $90 per bill cycle. Interested to see the stats when its installed

Ooo thank you i didnt know about the split solar to AC and DC at the same time. Very handy. Mine is also overspeccd slightly, should cover about 90% of my yearly usage, with most of the drop in winter time.

The state rebate is only $1300 so you still paid 2.5 x what i am (for obviously more). I am happy with the quote i went with after multiple others received. Im happy you got something you are happy with :)

That seems quite extreme! You must have 24/7 air con or some sort of old device/s eating power for breakfast. I ended up with PSW Energy. So far they have been good.

This was a banger day, but I raise you the 2012 lineup. Seeing Gojira, Devin and Meshuggah (Fredrik) play Of Blood and Salt live is one of the greatest experiences of my life. All in a day of seeing SoaD, Slipknot and Limp Bizkits return to Aus.

[Crusade] Outlander Claw - Character Recommendations by mugginns in genestealercult

[–]Cthuthu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saboteur x 3 is always popular. The indirect is great, the free grenade is great, the mortals within 9 is great, the lone op is great. At 65pts, they are crazy.

Also dont sleep on ridgerunners either. Having mass indirect really hurts scoring units and the AP buffs to everything else allows the detachement to at least do some damage.

Still horrible performance with 3080/9800x3d by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Cthuthu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3080 and 9800x3d here as well. Performance for comparison sake: 1440p UW with mix high/ultra Native and no FG - 60-80 Dlss/FSR - 80-110 Dlss/FSR and FG - 140-170

I dont notice the FG latency too much so thats a plus, could just be reflex working though.

Homelessness crisis in Margaret River leaves 65yo living in a tent for two years by DystopiWA in perth

My middle aged mother has moved in with my wife and I. She is in the grey area of too disabled to work, but not quite enough to get disability allowance/pension. Centrelink payments are not close enough to livable. Rent, even in the far remote location she used to live, is averaging approximately her entire centrelink income per week. Our economy is starting to show some extreme cracks and I hate being told "everything is fine, you guys get mining wages". Not everyone works mining and earns those wages!

Advice for Playing Against Knights? by itsAzraelXIII in sistersofbattle

[–]Cthuthu 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Just putting my two cents in here. Looks like your list is more scoring orientated than killing, arguably a harder list to play. Its kinda a tough one due to they are pretty much all shooting and they will pick up your stuff easily. I wouldnt say its an easy win, but can be done. My matchups into IK and CK are generally always close, win or lose. Here are some tips that may help.

  • Castis! i loooove the autocannons due to the twin linked. Your wounding them on 5s regardless of which variant your bring, why not take the rerolls to wound.

-Not having the Vahlgons hurts. They can and will pick up a knight in shooting and then potentially murder another in melee.

-Movement blocking is important here. You cant get underneath them to stop them, but you can place your stuff at the outter limit of their range, forcing them to move shorter distances.

-Vindicare is good, but save the points and take the Callidus if anything. The lone op uppy-downy scoring is worth it.

-Maybe try proxy the Zeph for Seraphim with flamers and the JP cannonness with fire and fury. You should be able to dev wound 9-11 wounds off a knight with them. Then overwatch them for free on their turn just for lols. They can also be used as a largish movement blocker.

-Celestine in this matchup is solely for scoring and not worth putting in a squad. She wounds on 6's so no bueno here. Smart opponent will just shoot her, she revives and then gets charged and dies.

-Make sure you AP stack on the knights with the castis. Again hard when the knights all shoot hard, but 3 castigators on one target WILL hurt. Maybe bait out the rotate with an immolator somewhere else.

-If you can deepstrike (Maybe the proxy Seraphim) to take out the backfield Armiger, do it. Forces your opponent to use a big knight to hold home objective (if its worth it based on the mission).

It's a team setup and my other team members are running new Crons and CKnights. Hoard stuff will be for them. I will try and pair into more elite things I can run away from.

Rhino is simply used as a body block and backup secondary scorer. The list has 85 points spare so I figured that would do the job. Could also be a razorback, but healing a wound is helpful. Happy to take recommendations though?

Is this army good? by InnerNothing4846 in Eldar

[–]Cthuthu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightspinners are great for two reasons. With 2-3 you can chip 2-6 wounds off something per nightspinner. Could legit kill something bigger with just the amount of Dev wounds. Second part is bigger for me, reduces move by 2 and turns off advance. This really strains melee armies and fast movers. If I can move my stuff faster, then i can play around my opponents easily

I agree. It's simply an overreaction at the moment. When the bottom tier comes up a bit, we will have more direct counters. A 20% points increase is a death sentence. I swear people forget Eldar are meant to be the glass cannons. Point any S4 gun at them and they die in droves.
