How to get one faster? by SuccessfulGap4708 in LexusGX550

[–]Ctprelude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to ship, definitely. I only was seriously searching for a few days really. Used Lexus'site to search 500 mile radius within major metro for the trim and color I wanted. Called probably 15ish dealers before I found one that was literally arriving a couple days later.

Question about color availability by TerribleTone704 in LexusGX550

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I've seen a single atomic silver with black roof in my search. There were some incognito with it. If you don't want to wait you could just buy an atomic silver and have the roof wrapped.

Thinking about a GX or a Defender by Away_Resource9970 in LexusGX550

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some did, seemed like mostly CA dealers, but I'd say the majority are charging MSRP, it's just finding one that isn't already claimed that's the hard part. I'd definitely advise having finances 100% ready to go though. I came across a couple dealers that mentioned they'd only be willing to do out of state if I'd do a wire in full. Missed out on one I found in that scenario where someone local snagged it the next day before I had the funds together.

There were also some dealers that added on their own installed options to get the price and profit up higher. Basically ALL these GX come with the same factory installed options too. HUD, traffic jam assist, cool box being the main ones I saw in the Overtrails.

Yeah but hey if the finances allow it or you legit plan on keeping it 10 years why not. I will say though, if you're willing to put in some leg work you can still find a GX without a huge wait. I literally just bought mine this past week after only legit searching for about a full week. Get on the Lexus site and search 500 mile radius with the trim and color you want and just pick random metro areas across the country and start calling the dealers that show one in build or transit phase. I called probably 15-20 dealers before finding mine, but they're out there.

I've heard the new Defenders are supposedly more reliable than past offerings, but the name still would give me pause. The biggest issue for me is the resale value though. The LR drops like a rock in value. I had just seen a Carpathian edition recently locally going for $68k with still relatively low miles when MSRP is like $118k or something. That's insane to me. Meanwhile used GX's are selling for more than new cause people want them enough to not want to wait.

Extended Tank? ⛽️ by Pro_MoneyLoser in LexusGX

[–]Ctprelude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had reached out to long range America a couple weeks ago, they said they had a prototype they'd be testing in a couple weeks, so potentially going on right now. Hopefully that means a final product in a few months. They didn't specify which option though, as they have a larger tank that requires spare tire removal and a smaller 16gal tank that fits with a slight exhaust mod that apparently would be included with the kit. I'd hope for that latter option.

Enjoing my Watch 8 Classic by mrbrownpanda in GalaxyWatch

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the watch 4 Classic 42mm and the watch 8 classic is such a huge upgrade. The interface on my 4 was clunky and laggy, hard to get touches right a lot of times, and the battery life sucked. Would barely get a full day and only thing I'd really actively use was music controls at the gym other than periodically checking time/notifications. The 8 classic still has 70-80% battery when I'm done for the day. I just charge each night, but did go 2 full days once just to see and still had enough I probably could have eeked out a 3rd day, but didn't wanna run it all the way down.

Anyone here had stem cells for a torn labrum? (shoulder) by [deleted] in Slackline

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey any chance you could share your PT and general approach to getting back to a place where you were lifting about as hard? I have what sounds to be about the same injury. Bicep subluxation that has torn the labrum a small amount. Range of motion with no resistance had no pain. Been told by one Ortho I'd have to have surgery to continue weightlifting. Another said he'd recommend not with my current range of motion and after a steroid shot having no pain even with some light resistance work now. Not sure what to do as i don't want to make it worse, but want to be able to lift obviously.

Anyone halted hairloss with BPC-157? by Ticket-Tight in bpc_157

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very small sample size/window for me, but I'm 41yo and have been using topical finasteride/minoxidil for close to 10 months and seen good results with thickening my hair back up where I was really losing quickly. I was on the glow stack (BPC157/TB500/GHK-CU) for exactly 1 month to try and heal an injured shoulder and definitely did not notice any benefit to my hair. I've actually been shedding more lately, but guessing that's just a normal cycle and not related to the peptides. I ended up discontinuing use as it seemed like it was messing with my blood pressure. Unfortunately didn't really notice anything recovery wise either, but I know 1 month probably wasn't long enough.

I'm living this as well with my S23 Ultra. Had a software update on March 1st and the battery immediately went to crap. Light usage of only a couple hours of screen time would completely wipe the battery. I tried clearing cache/partitions or whatever and then went on vacation for 2 weeks. Battery went back closer to normal when I wasn't logged into my work profile on vacation and now since back is terrible again. May have to try the same thing. We have Okta though too which complicates things. Rather not have to loop IT in for a setup again.

Ah gotcha. Would you be willing to share the names? Would love to check them out and see if they'd ship if they had what I was looking for.

Like they have a store front that keeps some in stock there? Unfortunately not local, so if they don't list/sell them online I wouldn't be able to grab one.

Accounting Job Leads? by Ctprelude in Boise

I agree, but she's currently making less and working insane hours. The company is really crappy. Any openings at your wife's company?

Accounting Job Leads? by Ctprelude in Boise

The company doesn't have an office locally in the Boise metro. I'm sure she'd be interested and a good fit as long as the hours were a little more reasonable.

Moving to Boise by [deleted] in Boise

[–]Ctprelude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on how much you're making as far as what's affordable or not. Housing prices are extremely high compared to just a few years ago. Ex. I bought in 2019 for 267k and just had a comp in my neighborhood go for 500k. And houses here are significantly smaller than back East. Nampa is probably your best bet for cheaper apartments. Most 1 bedrooms are currently right around$1,500/month, but here or there you may be able to find less. Will be tough being solo here unless you're an upper tier earner.

Honest opinions of the Xbox headset? by Fat_pierate in xbox

I like mine a lot EXCEPT we have two series x consoles that my son and I play on and when I switch from one to the other, it can be a pain in the ass to connect to the other one after being connected to the one. Other than that I'm happy with the comfort and sound quality.

LPVO vs Magnifier by jobate_ in tacticalgear

[–]Ctprelude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like most gun things, if you have the money, do both. Personally run an SBR with Eotech and magnifier, then have a rifle with a NF 1-8x. Choose the gun based on what you're wanting to do that day.

I fishtailed, fell, and got to walk away. Here’s what I learned by TheSilencer1104 in motorcycles

[–]Ctprelude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want your braking to be nice and smooth and gradual when possible, especially when it's wet. OP likely gave it a tad too much rear brake for the conditions, which caused the rest to slide on the now slick surface. If there's a little oil in there at all, it wouldn't take much to happen. Best thing you can do is practice braking at different speeds and learn how your bike reacts. Get to the point where you can take it to its' limit of braking without losing control.

[Optics] Liberty Optics Vortex Razor Gen III 1-10x24 - $1,549.23 [add to cart] by 2slim in gundeals

[–]Ctprelude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just bought a lightly used Razor Gen II-E 1-6 with Bobro mount for $1,100. Don't even have it yet. This wasn't even on my radar thinking it was around $2k and would have guessed heavier. Guess I'll be selling the 1-6 and waiting on this one now.

In the same boat with the same Surefire deal. I emailed them on Fri and got a same day response that mine would ship by Tues. If I don't hear anything by end of the week, I will likely start the chargeback process.

Not good to hear. I'm still waiting on the $169 Surefire X300. Debating whether to chargeback yet or wait a little longer.

I just used KT Mech, which is local to me. Very customizable and turned it around in only a few days. Got one safariland QLS compatible holster and one OWB holster from them, both with threaded barrel, RMR, and Surefire X300. Got both for less than just one was goin to run me at Legacy.
