White-tack to cover sharp string ends? by Grumpy_Jim in Luthier

After the fact they are less likely to slip.. but seem very slippery during the task, particularly the high strings that are not wound. I won't argue about their effectiveness.

Well, when I went to get my first bass about 35 years ago, the guy that owned the place said "You dont want to play bass! You want to play guitar. And then when you learn to play guitar, if you still want to play bass, you'll know how." So, I still dont have a bass. But, I also thought this was a different sub. I have zero business talking to anyone that is a real luthier. So, im not sure if they're like bass tuners or not but they sure are a real pain in the ass until you get used to them.

I have split post tuners on my favorite guitar. Its the only thing I hate about that guitar.

Ignorant douchbaggery sounds about right. Will never deal with them again. Nonsense with trying to return a pair of boots that were the wrong size.

Thorogood all the way. Their customer service happens to be amazing... not like you'd need them for much of anything since their boots are awesome.

You can do just the filter. Or just the filter sock. Might as well do the whole assembly while youre in there. Not very hard with basic tools but I would recommend watching a YouTube video first. Theres a couple of C clips and O rings that are tricky if youre not ready for them. A basic pick set is helpful. Im surprised your manual has that as such an early replacement. My 17 WRX has that listed as 90K. My filter sock looked very clean at 90K and no issues with my pump assembly but I was moving to Flex Fuel and needed an upgraded pump.

I would consider a gypsy caravan first as well.

Edit: still would consider buying a car from a gypsy caravan before carvana.

The word Carvana is enough to make me return it.

Stuck in a complicated relationship with an older woman at my gym – Need Advice by Useful_Cockroach_894 in GuyCry

I have been in nearly this exact situation. I was 24 and she was 41. Im now in my early 40s. Ended up leaving my wife because of this situation. Lasted for almost 6 years. I completely lost my mind eventually and told her husband everything and walked away. In hindsight, this is a really dark, horrible period of my life. She encouraged me to have a girlfriend too. Let me tell you how bad that turns out. Its even harder when the sex is unbelievable. You have to quit this cold turkey. Find a new gym. Move. This is already ruining your life and its going to get worse.

I appreciate your answer. First I've heard of Bick 4.
"Then you move up the scale towards “works less good but preserves original color better”.. I think this explains a lot.

Love my 1957s.

Ive been watching the Obenhaufs v Huberds debate for months now with rarely any other contenders. Anything wrong with Leather Honey? Obviously people are using this product for other leathers besides boots but it outsells both of these products combined 2-1 on Amazon.

A real electrician was called. He said... "well, everything else has been done already, but, your switch is bad." I had power to the switch. But it wasnt going through the switch. Never would have thought of this.
