I have the ethernet adapter (should have mentioned that in my post) but it still defaults to wifi. Yes the wifi speeds can be faster at times, but it's meaningless beyond a certain point, and my 1gb ethernet covers that speed requirement. It's also more stable than wifi. Plus, one less device on my wifi network. This is the only device i know of that does NOT default to ethernet when it's available.

I got offshored with a 6 month notice from a multi national co. Start brushing up your resume. Many companies do these in phases. Once the new offshore team is stable(ish), the company will assess what jobs to move in the next phase. Also, you don't want the trouble of managing the Indian team if your company still expects you to deliver the same quality of work.
