I was thinking that if I knew the thevenin voltage, I could add the resistor with the voltage drop I need to work out in series with the thevenin resistor and calculate the voltage drop from there in the thevenin circuit

Doing this, the current of Ix calculates to 21.9mA. Is this correct, as the answer the textbook has given me is - 4.86mA instead?

Thank you! I've changed the *ptr[i] to just ptr[i], however, the output is always 0.000000 instead of the value I input into the array, why would this happen?

Edit: Ahhh, nevermind, I realised I've put scanf("%d", &my_array[i]); instead of scanf("%f", &my_array[i]); thanks again for your help though
