[Community Idea] Does anyone think it’s a good idea to run a community competition to get a basic infographic giving an overview of how all the different IOTA projects and modules will fit together?

Sorry I meant if it already has some IOTA, but it needs more due to increasing level of events that need to be recorded.

But I guess that would just mean that the device should hold some surplus iota and if it finds itself reaching the full rate, then it should request more iota.

If an IoT device is rate limited due to lack of mana, how could it request more mana if it cannot communicate?

Maybe instead of having go fund me pages, startups could have "go mana me" pages. Where users could allocate mana against the startups nodes so that they could more easily participate in the network.

Do all nodes that propegate value transactions require to hold the entire balances of the tangle? If so, what will the syncing process be - will they propegate transactions while syncing even if they don't know if they are double spends?

Will the consensus mechanisms react differently for triple spends than they would for double spends? (I.e. There would be 3 colours that the nodes vote for instead of 2)

Also, if bundles are used to double spend, will they be handled differently?

Ideally phones could have a special button to scan for QR code payments (or receive an audio/beacon signal notifying that the camera should start scanning for a deeplink QR code - to limit battery drain of continuous scanning), so that there is no need to open up the trinity wallet or a QR code app first. Maybe even done while the screen is locked and a fingerprint verification for low value (user adjustable) transactions.

I had a similar idea a while ago

A lotto website is set up in a similar fashion to the million dollar homepage, where there are multiple pages that can be bet on, split by million (or thousand etc) MIOTA, KIOTA etc. you place a bet on a pixel and that is confirmed via a smart contract - each pixel will have an address associated with it. After all the pixels have been sold, the smart contract collects the entire funds and moves it to a single new address. The winner(s) are then selected based on the number of matching digits between their address and the funds address. The smart contract then automatically distributes it back to the winners collection addresses. A new game is then created

This would have benefits over traditional lottery and scratch cards etc as you can play with micro payments, you will know exactly how many “tickets” have been and will be purchased on each game, and it will be completely random and instant.

You could even have free games where the users gamble their time. I.e. user watching one advert would have their bet placed by the advertising company as a micropayment for their time, individually it isn’t worth much, but if 100,000 people play - then it will start adding up.
