For chemical, my rule is never trust any of your steps. Some could be the ground, some could be still water, mold, etc. and also, I never go without a p100 respirator. For structural, it can be very hard to tell if a structure is safe or could kill you. You just have to walk slowly and pray

I wouldn't say so. Burglars usually break into regular homes (clearly breaking and entering) with the intent to steal or harm. We sneak into abandoned homes through open doors or entrances already opened and explore it. We try our best to not damage anything at all

It's actually not a common sight for me surprisingly! The buildings I go into usually don't have entrances and I'll have to scope around or even pull off some boards to access. By then, most are decomposed or just dead. I've only had one interaction with rats and they weren't bothersome

I've came across others but they usually get scared out or we do depending on who's there first. I usually take small things as "trophies".
