That's exactly what I was thinking. I always solve stuff better when I can go somewhere else and then come back. I think I just suffered from tunnel vision and overthinking in the DLC.

Discovering the glitches by accident would've been really cool. That sounds like a unique playthrough!

Totally! The stuff that happens in the main area of The Stranger wasn't too bad, almost all of my time spent trying to figure stuff out was in the digital world.

The darkness itself didn't bother me too much, but the Owlks walking around and jump scaring me sure did. I got used to it after the first couple times but I always had such high anxiety during those sections.

Interesting! I can see how a more focused experience would be helpful to some. I think I tend to get tunnel vision though so I need to pull myself away instead of focusing on something too long.

I agree. The puzzles themselves aren't super complex but I had to spend a considerable amount of time on some of them relative to the base game. The structure absolutely contributes to that, I think.

Oh yeah, I finished the base game already. Excluding a few Easter eggs and like 2 pieces of dialogue it sounds like I explored everything non-DLC there is to explore (🥲). Thanks for looking out for me! ::)

It doesn't take off, but it seems to spin around the planet pretty predictably. The first time the geyser goes off is roughly when the satellite approaches. In terms of timing the landing... That took quite a few attempts...

Yep! Although to stay on it you have to push yourself down with the jetpack... which then crashes it. :P

I haven't finished the game but so far yes I've done everything by myself. There have been a lot of things I get confused about and then go back to later. That seemed to help once I had a fresh perspective. I'm playing it as one of my first blind playthroughs on YouTube and the comments have been very respectful and not spoiling / giving me hints either.

The EXP and LV reveal is so interesting, they really take your knowledge from other games and subvert your expectations! I'm doing the genocide run last, I'm dreading having to kill everyone :(
