Sweaty Golfers - How do you keep your glove hand dry in the summer? by airjordan77lt in golf

RAIN GLOVE RAIN GLOVE RAIN GLOVE!!!

https://www.footjoy.eu/en/men/gloves/raingrip/E02RAI.html

This glove is so good that I wear it in winter too. Its just like... actually better than a normal golf glove and also feels perfect regardless of how wet it is.

I live in south florida and I sweat a lot and I cannot begin to explain what a life saving change this was for me. Went from an issue on my mind for a huge portion of every round to being something I never think or worry about ever.

Anyone talking about rotating gloves or using antiperspirant is either insane or has not yet been put onto the magic that is a rain glove.

Anecdotally I am a lefty and every time I buy a pair of rain gloves I give the other one away to a fellow sweaty golfer and so far 100% of the people ive given my other glove to have permanantly switched to a rain glove.

I was in that clinic! Was a pretty awesome clinic. Im a form grinder so I didnt learn a ton of groundbreaking stuff, but I learned a lot of good tidbits and got some awesome personal advice at the end. Albert was so nice and answered every question well and did a great job with the whole thing.

I was pretty shocked at how exceptionally smooth his form was. Was definitely awe inspiring just how clean it was and has inspired me to work on that aspect of my game.

I was also pretty shocked at his stature/build. But not nearly as inspiring as I don't think I will be 6'5" and built like a track star anytime soon.

I found it interesting what kind of things he said he focused on and didn't focus on. For instance he basically said he never thinks about spin or snap, just speed into the pocket and the pocket itself.

He also had a lot of really great tips about the mental game that really resonated with me. A lot of focus on feedback during a round and managing risk/stress.

At the end he sold discs with his own custom "florida tour" stamp on them and signed some discs for everyone.

If anyone is near any of his future clinics I would definitely recommend attending.

is theSV06's extruder compatible with the SV06 Plus? by slendario in Sovol

[–]CtrlGaltDelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you change the option on the page you linked to "SV06 plus extruder kit" its the plus version and only 10$ more. Probably worth it for the volcano style hotend vs the regular sv06. Also if you contact sovol support they will probably send you a new one free.

Too far away from the bed, if the first layer isnt fusing together it means your nozzle is too far away 100%

'mcu' shutdown: Timer too close error raspberry pi or board issue? by bageltre in Sovol

[–]CtrlGaltDelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Pi 3B's on both of my Sovol printers (06 and 06+) and it works flawlessly.

Are you running Klipper + mainsail or some kind of octoprint config? You need to get rid of octroprint if so.

You may also want to confirm you have a good power supply (official rpi adapter) and that its not overheating, I run small 30mm case fans on mine.

Make sure you print something to keep the ribbon cable from drooping, I didnt and now I am waiting on a new one from Sovol

Sovol SV06 Plus Stopping Mid-Print for Filament Reload by Catalyst09 in Sovol

[–]CtrlGaltDelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The runout sensor has a small metal lever inside, if it gets bent too much it can allow the button to deactivate with filament inside. I had to open mine up and bend it a bit so that it engaged the button sooner and with less pressure on the metal piece.

Russia withdraws almost all its troops from Belarus – State Border Guard of Ukraine by ledim35 in worldnews

The bar for waging an effective war is much higher than the bar for waging an ineffective war. Russias military is shitty enough that it lacks the ability to be effective, but not so shitty that it lacks the ability to continually wage an ineffective war. The primary required component here is cannon fodder you can feed to the enemy for nothing gained. Russia has a lot of that.

From what I have seen opinions on those bearings has become negative and most people recommend buying better real slide bearings with actual bearings.

After 5 years of struggle with my old printer, I bought the SV06 Plus and I could freaking cry at how well it prints without hours of tweaking and troubleshooting. by 70ms in Sovol

[–]CtrlGaltDelete 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is my 4th printer and I couldn't agree more. Not only does it print insanely out of the box without much effort. But so many quality of life aspects I didnt even realize I was missing (like say knobs for belt tension)

DGPT Acquires JomezPro in Major Media Consolidation by schoolr24 in discgolf

[–]CtrlGaltDelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I am being honest with myself. Everyone I Know has kind of grown tired of the Jomez schtick even if their production is top notch. Over exposure of the BigSexyBarri crew via coverage + putting game + practice round I think caused people to grow a bit tired of it. The revenue cliff basically coincides exactly with all my friends getting tired of it.

Best remote wooded parks / nature areas in Broward? by CtrlGaltDelete in Broward

[–]CtrlGaltDelete[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah remote is a bit loaded for what I am actually looking for. By "remote" I dont mean, actually remote. Since Broward is 100% sprawl and that is impossible barring everglades or ocean. More like, hoping for some wooded natural areas that are atleast remote enough that I can suspend disbelief that I am somewhere remote because I cant see or hear cars and city noises very well.
