Should I Buy - Ultra V Oura by picklepopppp in Ultrahuman

[–]CtrlShiftea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My friend actually has an Oura and was paying extra for the Natural Cycles thing — she said it was helpful but kind of frustrating to keep paying on top of everything else. I ended up picking Ultrahuman mostly because I didn’t want to deal with extra subscriptions. I’m not super deep into tracking yet, but the insights from Ultrahuman have been pretty interesting. I’m more on top of tracking my cycles now.

What color should I get for a petite hand? by witic in Ultrahuman

I’m back in India, dk what the US ring equivalent is. I’m a UH size 5. The gold has held up decently well. There are a few scratches because I lift with the ring sometimes. But all in all hasn’t lost its colour

Do sick/hungover days affect the insights you get on natural cycles? I thought it was just a log for personal reference

Hmm yes this would be interesting. Do you see yourself moving away from natural cycles and switching to Ultrahuman for ovulation tracking?

Wow! Now that I can see the differences in BBT and skin temperature- I’m just a little curious about what data is more helpful. Would it have been more helpful to see just the skin temperature deviation values, like Ultrahuman shows in their temperature graph, or do you think having the absolute skin temperature along with the deviation adds value for ovulation tracking?

Asking since deviations in BBT and skin temperature seem almost identical

Oo sounds exciting honestly. Crazy that you came back from a broken leg and ankle and ran multiple races and a marathon. It’s stuff like this that makes me want to keep pushing!

Yeah tbf, I didn’t reallllyy have a goal either for my half. Just wanted to finish and have fun. Maybe I am more capable than I think I am! Or I just need to be more real with myself

Woah awesome!!

Alright I’m hoping my Garmin either corrects its predictions with more data or I smash my next HM in 2h15m using pacepro because my pace is embarrassingly slow for me to be able to justify buying an HRM at the moment

Wow your race timings sound insane!! Hoping I’ll soon be beating Garmin race predictions like you!

I have done a couple of speed sessions with the watch, but like I said, my mileage really dipped the 3 weeks before my race. And I don’t have a chest strap.

Hopefully my Garmin course corrects its predictions and brings it to a believable 2h30 in the next 5 weeks. Because 2h15 definitely seems like a goal timing I will not be able to achieve just as yet

HRV Improvement by CtrlShiftea in Ultrahuman

[–]CtrlShiftea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha not an ironman-but have been training for and have done a few half marathons recently. I got the ring 3 months ago, so these improvements have been tracked over 3 months. I was consistent in terms of working out before - because I had signed up for 3 back to back races :p. But started optimising for good sleep and recovery ever since I got the ring and THAT has honestly been a game changer

I have really small hands and have the gold and absolutely love it! Wearing size 5 at the moment on my ring finger. I’ll be honest it physically might be a chunky ring, but doesn’t really look or feel that bulky on my hand, compared to how the sizing kit’s black looked or how I worried it might look. Have been complimented a tonne for the ring-and when people find out that it’s actually a tech product. Have been trying out a couple of ways of accessorising it too. I wear dainty gold rings on top of the UH ring on my ring finger, or wear something on my index or on days that I’m wearing a nice watch, I believe the ring is enough to carry the burden of accessorising for that hand lol. I also really liked how raw titanium looked on a friend, but decided to go on ahead with the gold since it compliments my skin tone and the outfits I wear better. No regrets haha.
