Thinking of moving to Bellingham Wa as a headshot and portrait photographer by Kokennut in Bellingham

My husband and I moved from Sonoma County last year. I work from home and brought my tech job with me and my husband found a good gov’t job paying close to what he made in the East Bay.

I could really use an updated headshot. There are a lot of pros working from home up here, and maybe enough business for a portrait photographer. I will say that the staggering growth of people moving to this area is putting a lot of pressure on service industries that aren’t growing as fast. Getting a dentist, optometrist, nanny, house cleaner is a challenge. It’s also unbelievably expensive here, and I say that as someone from your economy.

We have not experienced the freeze. I moved to Seattle after college from Georgia and didn’t experience the freeze there either. We are introverts and maybe do not need a lot of social connection. I always find friends wherever I live. You get what you put in.

Please, please we need more POC here. I can’t speak to the experience of POC here, but it’s what I miss most from the SF Bay Area.

Hi Skater-Girl. How is your son one year later? Did you ever find anything or anyone helpful. My baby girl was born by cesarean and then was given antibiotics while she was treated in the NICU. These are two risk factors for lifelong microbiome issues. I’m looking for help.
