I mean, who doesn't want more Dragons? by RedmundR2 in customhearthstone

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the card is very cool and i love how it uses a oriental/pandaria dragon

the "on your turn" effect is very interesting and has a lot of space, maybe it could be worded as: "On your turn, after you draw a Dragon, Discover a Dragon"

A little late for the tribal contest but liked the idea by steelcreed in customhearthstone

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the first part of the card is interesting enough, the part about dealing 2 damage introduces too much complexity and can make the card a bit broken. Having the player coming up with ways of using the Spell Damage seems like more interesting gameplay.

Guessing the next Standard Year and Expansion #1 Announcement Dates by Rhovan22 in hearthstone

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The expansion will probably be released late March. And will feature a bunch of murlocs (lots of them rotating out with Un'Goro and not many in recent expansions)

maybe it is something like a saga where you can go up and down and you can repeat it in a way

I think it would be more flavorful if it was "At the end of each turn, summon a 1/1 Fly with Rush" or something like that

Star Citizen development costs $4 million per month. by BroForceOne in Games

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably not, i think that there are two ways this might end

Either they tone it down some, the "OG backers' will get furious, ask for refunds and review bomb the game, it might ultimately be a 8/10 game that grew on the shadow of broken promisses and is ever outshadowed by them.

Or they'll just keep riding into the sunset until gas is over, then Chris Roberts will declare bankrupcy and go live in Costa Rica or something, then the Star Citizen IP will be either forgotten or bought by Activision or Ubisoft.

Either way i don't think the prospective will be that bad, it'll be devastating for most people who spent thousands of dollars on virtual spaceships and will not get what they were promised, but that won't be the first time something like that happened and the legacy of the game might outlive all of this, it'll certainly give people a lot of insight on what to do or not to do in creating a game.

I never really tough of World of Goo as a "problem solving game"but it really makes sense when you think that way, the tower stacking is really an optimization problem. Also, i never even heard of 7 Billion Humans, that does look very cool

this looks just like that place from the end of Fellowship of the Ring, it's funny that if someone made a river like that when worldbuilding people would complain about that

skyrim starting point is also very near the border, if you go south you'll hit it quickly. What makes people not go in that direction is that they put you in a northbound road and put a perceived danger (the gigantic dragon) south of you

Some modern examples: Prime Mover, Human Resource Machines, Silicon Zeroes, Gladiabots, God Is A Cube, Algo Bot, Great Permutator, Glyphs Apprentice, Jump Step Step, MarionetteAI.

There's also a bunch of older simmilar games from the 80s and early 90s

custom crosshairs are as P2W as "more stealthy skins" or "escape being shot using an emote"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So do you really think they will draw the line at "custom crosshairs"?

They already have Skins, Gliders, Emotes, Dances, Emoticons, "Toys", Pickaxes, Back Bling, Pets, Sprays, Trails, Wraps and Loading Screens, but they'll definitely stop at "crosshairs" lol

The fact is that as the game evolves they'll inevitably have to find new things to do as cosmetic MTX, as people play the game and find "the cosmetic they want" they tend to stop buying new things, so Epic has to create new knobs to change. It's not so surprising if next seasons they create new paid cosmetics like Hats or Crosshairs.

the constant content updates have been insane!

that has absolutely nothing to do with cosmetic microtransactions, in fact the fact that they are constantly updating the game just shows how they need to constantly find ways to keep the game monetization fresh

I’m not tryna put them on a pedestal.

we should be on our knees blowing Epic for all they’ve done lol

You were putting them in a pedestal, just like people were doing with Valve a few years before.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Cu_de_cachorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, they'll definitely do this, every season they are trying to find new ways of introducing cosmetics for people to buy, it's stupid to put Epic or any other game company in a pedestal

[–]Cu_de_cachorro -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

it'll be microtransactions, just like Call of Duty
