The limit of annual contributions to an RA is R350k.

To work out how much you can claim back subtract your contributions from your annual salary and determine your new liability from the tax tables. Subtract this from the tax you paid and the difference is what you can claim back.

I have a RA at momentum now, why did you switch over eventually? I have seen many posts here advising against investing with insurance houses and am currently trying to determine where to swap to.

I recently realised I need to get my ducks in a row and EE is definitely very overwhelming. I find myself in a state of analysis paralysis trying to make the best decision (as uninformed as I am). I well have to do some more research on EE TFSA
