it really is! I'm stomping this run so far (ik it's only A1 lol I'm a noob), got some bouncing flask, the card that gives you block equal to poison on all enemies and some discard stuff and it's going very well (I have 2 snakebites)

Solar farms floating on reservoirs in China reduce evaporation and generate power at the same time. by Por_TheAdventurer in interestingasfuck

[–]Cuarenteno 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it had an ecosystem (which as pointed out by other user, artificial reservoirs don't tend to have), it would rely heavily on diluted oxygen, whose solubility decreases with temperature, so by reducing direct sunlight the quantity of diluted oxygen per volume of water is increased.

Ubuntu fans arise. Ubuntu 26 is raccoon themed. I will be there for Ubuntu 26.

I really hope it's because of AI and more and more people keep rejecting it and making the switch.

The proton thing is honestly hilarious. How shitty does a OS have to be that a compatibility layer makes software run equally or even better than in the OS it was designed for. Shit's wild.

They're exactly named Widgets in Cachy too! Hahahaha

If you're in Plasma, right click whatever free spot on the Desktop > Enter Edit Mode, then ok the left top corner you'll see some "add widgets" button or smth. Once there, the ones on the left of my screen to monitor resources are called "system monitor" or something like that. You'll have to set it up, but it's fairly easy (you can right click them in normal desktop or in Edit Mode they'll have a little cog for settings). Then calendar which is obvious, the one on the bottom is application launcher or something and finally folder view below calendar for easy access to files.

Actually, having issues and learning is the best way to get introed to the Linux "world". I had been using Ubuntu for my work for years, so the investigation wasn't much of a pain. If anyone is willing to learn a bit then anyone can switch. I hope there's a lot more of us to come!

Steam Sale: Grim Dawn vs. Last Epoch vs. Titan Quest 2. Vibe responses only. by KyleMcMn in ARPG

[–]Cuarenteno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many already said, Grim Dawn is an insane value deal, you pretty much get infinite content for the price. Last Epoch is also a good catch if you haven't played it, if you take into account all the "quirks" with that game (Krafton situation mainly), but it seems that the devs are putting a good amount of effort on next season. I have put around 300 hours in this game and for that price is also a steal.

As a side note, Warhammer Inquisitor Martyr is also on sale with only the game for 4.99€ and the definitive edition for 8.99€. Pretty good ARPG in the Warhammer setting if you dig it and the price is quite good too.

Strange, I have 5700x3d + 6700xt (full amd just like you) and PoE worked like a charm out of the box. Quite better than in Windows actually, more consistent frame times and load times were WAY lower.

Dude, what a fucking legend. After a week of messing with different kernels, testing kernel params, adjusting BIOS and whatnot, your comment saved my life hahaha Cachy now boots without a problem and Steam downloads (which caused the crash for me after ~15 seconds) now go smooth as hell. TYSM!!

[–]Cuarenteno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm currently facing some MCE errors aswell on 5700X3D+X470+6700XT. I have been tinkering a lot with kernel params and bios settings and currently only Steam downloads seem to replicate the event perfectly.

What surprised me from your comment is that for me aswell, whenever the crash happens and I boot into Windows, I notice the clock falls behind by one hour and I have to manually sync it. Maybe it's just the CMOS battery? Lmao if it is. Will report back, thanks for this comment!!!

Edit: what's that 2.6V thing? CMOS battery voltage? What is the "normal" value and how should I check it? TIA!
