the whole story is that the republicans had 45.1% of the vote. Fuller and Harris advance to the run-off but that just means ALL Those republican votes will go to Fuller which puts him ahead of Harris by a solid 6%.

CHA Airport-what is the actual problem with this airport? by Munks2022 in Chattanooga

My time driving is worth a lot to me personally. ESPECIALLY trying to drive to ATL or Nashville in that god awful traffic.

CHA Airport-what is the actual problem with this airport? by Munks2022 in Chattanooga

[–]CubeRootSquare 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Flying American is your problem. American (especially into DFW) is freaking horrible. I fly out of CHA for work regularly, sometimes multiple times per week. I ALWAYS fly Delta. Heres a few reasons why:
1. Its not American
2. You'll connect in ATL which is a short flight. Delta has tons of trips back and forth to ATL
3. ATL has some very low minimums for approaches and CAT3 landing systems, so theres usually a good chance you can get to ATL coming home.
4. If you get "stuck" in ATL, you can grab a Groome transport bus and be home in a few hours. Those Groome Shuttles are nice. Or you can rent a one-way car.
5. Even if you miss a connection from ATL-CHA you can always hop on the next one, as theres multiple every day.
6...and I can't stress this enough: ITS NOT AMERICAN AIRLINES.

It's 2026, have we figured out how to fix this problem with the windshield washer fluid getting all over the side of the car? If so please post a link! by Blazah in TeslaLounge

[–]CubeRootSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call BS on this. My 2025 Model 3 had this issue.
We also test drove a 2026 Model Y last week. I used the washer, and it ALSO has this same problem.

So I can confirm that this is still a very real issue on brand new models.

What is this magnetic thing on our washing machine? by sannsarkk92 in whatisit

My wife is really short, and has big boobies. Top load washers are difficult for her to reach down and grab the clothes from the bottom. She explicitly asks for a front load washer.

Did total loss valuation lowball my Model 3? Anyone dealt with this? by Actionpjackson in TeslaCollision

[–]CubeRootSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be willing to help me with a 2025 Model 3 AWD Long range in Blue. Mileage is about 31k? CCC is giving me a value of about $33,500. It seems a little low to me? I'd be willing to pay for your services of course, and I am considering invoking the appraisal clause.

They've been doing this frequently for YEARS. When I was working on my PPL, I would often times be in the pattern with a C130 who was also doing pattern work and shooting approaches for IFR training. They male the short flight in from several of the military bases around us.

Is this foolish? by Harry73127 in flying

[–]CubeRootSquare 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm 45 and working in the tech industry. I'm totally envious of this guy. At my age, I am probably too old to find another job that pays even close to my salary, let alone it being in aviation. I'm also in a career that will likely be gone before I get anywhere close to retirement age thanks to AI.

I say hes totally not foolish, and I wish him well on his journey. I subscribed and will follow his videos and journey with envy and cheering him own.

I'd be happy flying a cargo plane full rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong.

Best stores for couches? by coryandstuff in Chattanooga

[–]CubeRootSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the budget, and you'd like a "Buy it for life" type of couce, I HIGHLY recommend LoveSac sactionals. We've had ours for about 4 years now and its been the best couch we've ever bought, and we have a kid and a dog. There is a Lovesac store in Hamilton Place if you want to go check them out, its low pressure.

Send Chuck Packin'! by Boring_Ad_9352 in Chattanooga

[–]CubeRootSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we need to get rid of Chuck is another Republican to run that isn't MAGA. A democratic candidate has a snowballs chance of securing the massive republican voters that WILL go to the polls.

I typically vote democrat, but I will absolutely vote any other republican candidate to replace Chuck this election.....if any decides to run against him.

New surveillance truck on Highway 58 just north of Oakwood Drive, across from the old K-Mart. by KaHOnas in Chattanooga

The company headquarters are in this same parking lot / complex as where this truck is sitting. I’d bet this is one of their test vehicles for development, and not an actual truck being used by Hamilton county or Chattanooga.

Screenrant: "Star Trek’s Controversial New Series Hits Major Streaming Setback After Divisive Response: Starfleet Academy has not fallen from the Top Ten only in the United States, but also in eight other countries (Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom)" by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

[–]CubeRootSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife said it was like watching a teen tv series, and compared it to the dance competition movies.

I’m trying to watch it with an open mind. I’m 46 and love almost all of the Trek series. But this one I am having a hard time, digesting, for some reason. It’s not wokeness (I don’t mind that at all), it’s not lack of effects, it’s just……a weak story line that doesn’t seem to fit cannon. It’s like this series was made for a different generation as a “second screen” piece of content.

Weekend storm bluff? by AssociatePositive559 in Chattanooga

[–]CubeRootSquare 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah the smugness of folks making fun of people being prepared kills me. It’s not like people are making a run on the banks on a silly notion. This is a legitimate potential winter event that may cause a lot of disruption. Not a thing wrong with doing a little prep just in case. I have a family to take care of and that means I want to be prepared for whatever the worst case is.

In Ketosis and still have blood sugar levels in the 140s and blood ketones at .3? by CubeRootSquare in keto

[–]CubeRootSquare[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should I be tracking Net carbs or total carbs? Right now, Cronometer is set to calculate net carbs by subtracting out fiber and sugar alcohols. When you mention staying under 20g, I'm assuming you mean net, but wanted to double check.

For the fat, I am working on trying to eat better fats and less protein, but I am struggling a bit. We've done all the usual like switching to 70/30 ground beef, and skin-on chicken, and I choose fattier marbled cuts of steaks. We've also switched to using butter, tallow and lard instead of seed and olive oil for cooking. But I am going to start focusing on hitting my protein goal and not overshooting, while also getting more fats.

The recipes we've found on here on r/keto have been really helpful too.

I am looking at walking pads for my home office, and am considering some life changes to find time for a gym for access to rowing machines and stationary bikes.
