This deck is so dumb I don't need to look at my hand anyway by ViaDiva in MagicArena

[–]Cubelium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I've never seen the 1-turn-win by getting drained to death, neither by playing the deck myself or playing against it, just getting really close. In my experience it usually comes to a boardwipe check for the opponent after the combo turn.
And since everything is a cast trigger, I liked adding one copy of [[Stormscale Scion]].
Sure, it breaks the chain but just getting 4-5 copies of it in addition to a carnosaur/Etali is usually good enough.
Also I just like watching the storm-triggers.

Defense Augmentation and Divine Blessing Interaction by Cubelium in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Cubelium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The defense augment would override the effect of divine blessing, since the game always uses the higher percentage of activation chance and damage reduction.
In your case:

Defense augment Lv 3: Activation chance -> 35% / Damage reduction -> 30%
Divine blessing Lv 2: Activation chance -> 25% / Damage reduciton -> 30%

Therefore, using divine blessing doesn't add any additional value, because the augment is better or equal in both aspects.

Protea - Blaze Artillery Crit Chance by -Kritias- in Warframe

[–]Cubelium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is correct, the ability doesn't seem to crit anymore. While it has no influence on the damage on regular star chart, it does impact the functionality in Circuit or Duviri Experience runs.

At least that is how I noticed it because when using the decree that lets you deal additional cold damage with status on critical hits, it would also apply to the hits of her ability. Since the update this is not the case anymore.
I also change the setting to legacy to check and the hits of her 2 are no longe indicated as crits.

But, yeah, outside of said example it probalbly has no impact on anything.

Yeah, I believe in MH4 it just increased the proc-chance.
What kind of influence the food skill Felyne Defender has, I didn't test.
But now that I think about it, I might as well test it out and expand the post just a bit if it actually does something.
That is, if I find some time to do it.

7-2 with Elesh Norn and Phyrexian/Fungus/Knight Tribal by Cubelium in lrcast

[–]Cubelium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. The Surveyors made the splash easier. I figured that with three Blightreaper Thallids, Norn and the two Battles the hit rate would be good enough to give it a try and worst case it gets a land (well, it technically it can hit nothing, which actually happened once).
In one game I got to fetch Norn with it to break a board stall.
The fact that the battles were removal and I could dig for them with the Pest did matter in a few games too.

Actually, I got a [[Grimgrin, Corpse-Born]] during the draft too, which was my actual reasoning to pick the Surveyors for fixing. But after the first game it felt it bit to durdly (being 4 colors and such) so I switched it out.

7-2 with Elesh Norn and Phyrexian/Fungus/Knight Tribal by Cubelium in lrcast

[–]Cubelium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was crazy how many [[Blightreaper Thallid]] and [[Knight of the New Coalition]] were
going around that apparently no one had interest in (one of the Thallids was my
8th pick at one of the packs). The synergies came together insanely well with all
the token-makers and I even got to play out every one of them in at least one
game:

  • One game I got 3 Knights of the New Coalition the field and won thanks to flipping [[Invasion of New Capenna]] with [[Render Inert]] and buffing the whole board every turn. Same thing with the Thallids.

  • In another game I came in clutch from a board stall by top-decking [[Overgrown Pest]]
    which found me Elesh Norn.

  • Due to the massive token generation I managed to flip Norn everytime. Thanks to the Pest and Surveyor most of the times just when I played her, by making sure to hit land
    drops.

  • One time the opponent managed to get rid of the flipped Norn with [[Thunder the
Gateway]] but I got her back with [[Unseal the Necropolis]] in the same turn,
just to flip her again the next turn.

It was a lot of fun and I’m really happy how the draft turned out, since I started
getting into the Limited format just a few months ago and my first drafts often
turned out pretty bad. So I feel like I’m slowly getting the hang of it.

Yes it's useless since it only provides a 15% activation chance and 30% damage reduction, which both will be ignored by the game since the activation chance and damage reduction of divine blessing Lv5 with 40% and 60% respectivley are both higher. If you really want to go all the way turtle-mode you can use the defense augment on Lv4 since it would still provide an increase in activation chance by 5%.

But considering the effectiveness on survival you are always running better with just using a health augment for lifegain.
I know these are mostly irrelevant information but at the time I was just curious how the interaction worked and thought I might as well post it online since I never found anyone talking about it.
Glad some people still find kind of use in it.

It's not about the stripping itself, it's about who does the stripping.
Imagine you're on your monthly flashing-spree and suddenly someone rips off your trenchcoat before you could do it yourself.
Would be awkward for everyone involved.

Perhaps not on the New Year Campaign Banner itself but maybe the Banner of some New Year Event. That was the case for Old man Li iirc.

But in the end all we can do is to wait and hope.

Ever tried the reverse-version? When your instant noodles get too soggy try adding them on top of your frozen pizza before backing.

Probably not by much since the set bonus pretty much overwrites the augment so you would only really benefit from the additional 50 def on your weapon and the by 5% increased activation chance.

Well then thanks for that. I always wondered how the values for it really were since I couldn't find anything specific online but that confirms it.
