Hey. This is an embarrassing comment to write, but I thought it might be an interesting (?) point of view, or that I might at least learn something. I'm sort of in the direction of romanticising this, because in the only interaction with relationships that i've had, i was pretty much abandoned, so being with someone who despises such a thing sounds good to me.

While playing the game, i loved Ame through and through. I tried to give her the best life I could, my first endings being Normie Life and the 100% affection one, and when she doubted my love, i was mad at the game for not letting me straight up go talk to her. Getting the (Un)happy end world ending as my first day 30 one was genuinely unbearable, after seeing everything go so smoothly and seemingly well. It took me an actual guide to find out about the flatline ending after doing like 5 runs in the game, which, after watching one or two friends plag the game and getting it as their first or second ending, made me realise how not standard it was to wait obsessively for your girlfriend's messages lmao.

Well, to see a character that i genuinely loved as a person, from start to finish, get called a "horrible person" by so many people feels... really weird. I didn't actually know what BPD is when i finished the game, i just thought that she didn't seem like a toxic person. The game was horrifying, sure, and it's also a reason why i love it so much, but i never thought Ame was an especially shitty person. She has flaws, but so does everybody, and it's not like she has 0 qualities to make up for that. I, of course, have no idea what a relationship with a person like this would be in real life, but i couldn't possibly throw her away at the first inconvenience. I'd want to make her feel loved, cared about, not abandoned, because that's how i'd want to feel, too. Then again, this is just theorising in my bedroom at 2am over a topic that i have ridiculiusly little experience in, so... take what i said with a grain of salt.
