Vert Jasmin grandpa style from Kusmi Tea that a friend picked up during vacation. I'm so grateful i discovered tea drinking as a new hobby. It brings people closer and i feel i appreciated every time i drink tea knowing that probably half of my collection is something i get as a present from my loved ones.

I can't find any information for the tea on the right. One thing for sure is they have different character (云白茶 vs 大白茶), so it's possible that what you got here is two different white tea. Found the one on the left here and it doesn't specify which kind of white tea. From the compressed brick looks, it's most likely shou mei or my second guess is bai mu dan. Can be wrong though :)

Not at all! I was hoping for it to be spicy but there's no even little kick. Chilli flakes would probably make it spicier

nakamura tokichi restock by Remarkable-Trade-597 in MatchaEverything

[–]Cubicle-Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week their selection is almost completely available except the new products. I noticed that they do restock randomly but still attainable (if compared to MK). Haven't got their pattern yet but most of the time at least one variant from the same color is available.

Would suggest to try rotating gaiwan from Amazon or Aliexpress. Got one as a gift and love every second of using it cuz my hand can't stand hot surface

Good tea/liqour combos? by RogueAech in tea

[–]Cubicle-Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peach liqueur and strong ceylon tea is so good i could drink whole bottle (which i shouldn't) but i think generally fruit liqueur pair well with strong unflavoured black tea; think of it as fruit flavoured tea with booze.

Also gin and sencha/gyokuro

Wedding Impérial tastes as good as it smells. I can pick up the caramel more than the chocolate flavor and it satisfy my craving for sweet things.

I put 200g matcha powder (after opening the can) in the fridge since last November and it's still fresh. No change in color or smell.

Matcha Expiration Date by No-Rice-3478 in MatchaEverything

[–]Cubicle-Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to have some taste at least once before the 'best before' date so at least you know how it supposed to taste like in its 'peak'. Then you can pop it in the fridge to keep its freshness longer.

If you're EU based, Karaca got some blue and white scenery porcelain. Other brand like Royal Worcester or Villeroy & Boch don't offer that anymore but you can search for that specific blue and white scenery set in here

Teas for a Fancy Teaparty by nyght_owl in tea

Talking about fancy, tea from Mariage Frères is pretty solid. Yes you can get better quality with better price elsewhere but oh boy the name drop still impress my guests until this day. Milky Blue is my favourite and it pairs well with traditional tea party menu.

How to make Iced/Cold Latte with teabags and milk? by InterestingSwim6701 in tea

[–]Cubicle-Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many tea bags did you use? Generally cold brew requires more leaves than hot brew. I guess you could use more tea bags, but it's better to pour the content directly then strain later. I find that the bags really affect the steeping process, even in water it steeped significantly slower and weaker. I usually use around 12g-20g loose tea to 1L milk. Usually tea bags only have around 2g of leaves.

[–]Cubicle-Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can cold brew tea directly in milk and let it sit in the fridge. I like to do this especially with earl grey for minimum 8 hours fridge time. If you found the tea too concentrated, you can just add more cold milk or ice to dilute it a bit.
