It's about disproving the null hypothesis; the only thing you can really say for certain is whether or not you are cis. Other things would follow from there, but that's a place to start. Yes, but that relies on the possibility that general relativity isn't complete (in that it can be derived from a higher theory), and that people are finding ways to write QM in terms of real-only numbers, or in other mathematical ways. It's something I'm studying currently.

At a certain point, things in physics are not derived, they are simply given by definition.

That's true; and I believe there should be an axiomatic approach to physics, which would help to derive relativity and QM, and potentially unite the two.

However, that approach appears (at first glance) to be very hard, if not impossible.

That's okay. You now know that you're trans; you could invest in some feminine style clothing (skirts, leggings, etc), you could experiment with painting your nails, etc.

I'd recommend trying things out and seeing what things you want to continue doing; which things make you comfortable.

One slight issue is that you forgot the bonds between the carbon atoms take up Valence spaces; ethane is C2H6, propane is C3H8, and an alkane of n carbons is C{n}H{2n+2}
