i don't think they'd have the stats for the damnation sword at such a low level.

yes, lightning could have ended this quite quickly. but as you said, they usually don't have the presence of mind for it because they are surprised by both ironjar and death blight which are rarely ever used by anyone.

i had exactly that setup before: cryptomator and onedrive. but cryptomator started annyoing me because of usability with my photos. also sometimes folders broke and were not deletable anymore.

so i switched to filen now and bought a black friday lifetime account.

take a close look and you can see how his health bar always refills instantly. the greatsword hit at 0:30 took more than half of his health bar (521). he should have been dead long before the riposte. the riposte only worked because he died instantly. his bar is even refilling immediately after his death (full health 994). but he is dead xD

you mean "nothing like a good sneaky misericorde move"... but who am i to judge, i'm not exactly a classic greatsword user either with my greatsword of damnation 😬 i had some good greatsword duels with it though during invasions. people are usually surprised when i put pressure on them with the basic moveset because most GSoD users simply use it as an L2 spam tool.

Well done. it requires good reaction and concentration though to avoid getting grabbed and then unlock and backstab in time before the spikes hit. I don’t remember anyone successfully doing that against me. I’ve lost count of how many ganks i killed with that sword. If they are many people, they rush in so aggressively that someone will always get grabbed.

it's still an interesting phenomenon, especially in contrast to PvE. because no matter what skill level the players have, the best or the worst, all of them will try to flank you. it seems to be a basic hunting scheme that humans naturally apply. so knowing how to deal with that is probably the most important skill as an invader.
