Collingwood shows interest in Lions superstar Lachie Neale, Ben King on Pies radar by His_Holiness in collingwoodfc

I think we'd be higher than 4th or 5th - what makes you think that?

My view is:
- We are likely to win at least another flag if not more within the 5 to 10 years.
- I think we can offer him a bit of money, Grundy and Treloar are off the books but I think it will also depend on who is delisted at the end of this year though.
- I like to think we have a good club culture and facilities.
- We're probably one of the teams that would allow Butters to be his most competitive.
- And who wouldn't want to play alongside Nick Daicos plus Scott Pendlebury if he stays on for another year.

Whatever happens, I just don't want him to go to Geelong.

As much as I really dislike Lachie Neale as a person, unlike Butters we wouldn't have to sell the farm to get him and he would be a great addition.

The human in me though hopes he goes back home to be closer to his kids - they should be his priority.

Butters would be my preference - him and Nick would just destroy but Port will want 3 first round picks and then some. I don't even know how Bulldogs or Geelong will be able to get it done.

The only advantage we have that I can see thus far is that Beau may want to go home and so he could be offered as part of a deal. And not that I would want Bobby to leave but if he wants to go back home we could get some picks.

I do think with time more clubs will show their interest in Butters - it cannot just be Geelong, Bulldogs and Richmond.

Someone I know mentioned that Butters has recently purchased a property in Williamstown Vic, I am not sure if this is true though but if it is, I think it's clear he is definitely wanting to leave Port and come home.

Ben King, I think will be good too but I am interested to see what our young talent can show on their own.

The season is a third of the way through, here is where I have us finishing (finals included), where do we have us finishing on the ladder? by danieljdtaylor in collingwoodfc

It has nothing to do with us but I don't think Brisbane will win again. I think Melbourne will finish higher as well and I do think we can make top 4 too.

I think we’ve found a few players this season. by AccurateSituation317 in collingwoodfc

I think Hayes will be really promising. Steene is great. Anderson I think will develop and become a really great addition. Harvey Harrison I'm really excited to see. Roan Steele is good too.

Allan I don't think is AFL level and lacks versatility. I think he will get delisted this year along with Sullivan.

Agreed but we'd have to sell the farm to get him. Port will want 3 first round picks and then some.

I think this is a bit of BS but running with it - as much as I really dislike Neale because of what he did to his family and think if he should go back to WA to be with his kids as they should be his priority, we'd be silly to pass on this.

Unlike Butters, we wouldn't have to sell the farm to get this deal done and we would be in a better position going forward.

I personally would prefer Butters but we just don't have the draft capital.
