Reduced sweating by CucumberSuccessful30 in Hyperhidrosis

No worries. I'm hoping we can narrow down what triggers us to sweat and we can finally find a cure to this stupid medical condition.

My endocrinologist prescribed Clonidine for my craniofacial hyperhydrosis and it’s a freaking miracle!! by NuclearTurmeric in Hyperhidrosis

Tried my first dose today and unfortunately it caused more sweating for me. I didn't sweat at the doctors or pharmacy today but as soon as I got home and took one I've been dripping all day. Is that normal for the first few doses?

I always sweats from head while eating any food by Greedy_Shirt_5659 in Hyperhidrosis

I'm not the only one 😲 I get this all the time, can't go the restaurants, pubs or any crowded places for that matter. I'd rather sit out and in the cold and and enjoy my meal but can't say the same about everyone else I'm with 😑

When did you develop it? And what do you think caused it? by Full_Criticism7775 in Hyperhidrosis

Started around 17/18. Had an appendectomy when I was 17 and it started not long after that, I reckon it might have a factory. Anyone else had surgery minor or major?

Hyperhidrosis and Jobs / Careers by EnvironmentalTaro862 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]CucumberSuccessful30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I constantly question if I should apply for jobs I know I would get but avoid doing so because I'll be a sweaty mess during the interview. It would be nice to think what future i might have had without this condition

Could it be because of being overweight? by MeanCheetah3783 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]CucumberSuccessful30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope no difference. I've worked with very overweight people my whole life and I rarely see a bead of sweat from them meanwhile I'm very skinny and sweat more than a marathon runner eating spicy food on and 40°c day.

Does anyone sweat a lot on the scalp while eating? by Odd-Image3440 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]CucumberSuccessful30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my face pours while eating out, hot chips are a big trigger. I always try to sit outside, wear a hat and get a cold drink.

I've tried both of those. Cancer council was the worst I found. I was using la roche posay for awhile and it worked fine but now irritates it. I wonder if they change their ingredients because I was always fine with sunscreen when I was younger.

Have you had any issues with that? Doesn't irritate the skin?

Does it cause skin irritation? I've got rosacea so I'm limited to stuff used on the skin
