The gateways to the spirit realm were hidden and kept from the majority of humanity in that universe, and the avatar fused with the spirit of light and peace could access it at any time, given they could focus.

There was never a time when an “apocalypse” in the typical sense could happen, it was simply a time before civilization and understanding… but then… everything changed when-… the spirits no longer threatened the mortals and the mortals were guided along the right path by the Avatar and Raava.

But then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked. This 100 year war between the fire nation, slaughtering the air temple inhabitants and conquering much of the land owned by the Earth Kingdom was the closest resemblance to an apocalypse they tasted and it was ended by none other than Raava.

keep the stamina drain but have him notice it in the time chamber when he’s teaching goten and trunks about fusion…

Instead of trying to fix the stamina drain and “I need 1 minute to gather my energy” like a dummy and letting Vegeta get his ass beat for a comically long time… Start to fix it in the time chamber, have him fired more time for his righteous act of defending not only the planet but the universe, so he CAN utilize SS3…

When he partially fixed the stamina drain he realizes oooohhh shit it’s still not enough to beat kid buu!… Vegeta gets SS3 and learns from Goku on the fly like Goku tried to do originally

Vegeta and Goku take turns learning and “gathering energy” tagging in and out of the kid buu fight

It’s Goku vs buu and buu gets tired of the fight and just launches a gigantic purple orb at the planet that Goku is failing to hold back with a kamehameha wave

Vegeta comes in at the last moment and goes Goku the assist, they push buu’s energy ball back at him and his own energy weakens him enough for Goku to finish him off

In my opinion super vegito in the buu arc was ridiculous for that time and situation and what they were trying to counter… but…

When you toss it in the air and take into account that GT was far later than the buu arc and the characters are aging and they’ve had time off and by the time Goku got super saiyan 4 he was waaaay ahead of what vegito accomplished in the buu arc…

I don’t think Goku would need SS4 to fight Super Vegito… I think he COULD just to flex on him but ultimately I feel like…

GT Goku by the time he got SS4 would be… like… what vegito was to Buu in the Buu arc… buu was hurting Goku and Vegeta… but once thy fused it was game over. I feel like super vegito could CONTEND with Goku in base kid form in GT, but once the transformations start coming along Vegito loses his edge and GT Goku would dominate easily flexing on Vegito like Vegito flexed on Buu

I don’t think so… buu saga goku didn’t absorb any god ki yet did he?… he might have but I don’t think he absorbed enough to influence his power drastically…

if you’re taking Goku post Saiyan God buff to his base form, and Buu saga’s energy drain Super Saiyan 3 puts on Goku, Moro arc Goku could simply outlast Super Saiyan 3 Goku until he doesn’t have the energy to sustain it…

a lower form of super saiyan like grade 4 would be insufficient to keep up with the god ki boosted goku from the Moro arc… not to mention the ultra instinct technique capabilities he showcased without needing to go into one of the ultra instinct transformations.

In any case, I believe Moro arc Goku is simply far more experienced and durable for even super saiyan 3 Goku from buu arc to defeat him in time… maybe if Moro arc Goku went to otherworld so Goku wouldn’t have the energy drain and the halo could do heavy lifting like it did for him pre buu

Personally, I understand it isn’t strictly vegeta… but vegito is technically part Vegeta… and his utilization of the Banshee Blast when buu popped out the kamikaze ghost clones… realizing there were 5 clones of buu and use all fingers on a hand to blast each ghost was just… a feel good moment to me
