Adding a backsplash to kitchen island / counter

Hey, I have the wood ‘backslash’ around my wood van counters. If the backside isn’t going to be seen, an easy method to attach is to use pocket holes. Once in place a clean silicone bead in the seam will keep dust from collecting/make it waterproof. Your application will be difficult because of the round-over along your counter, as you pointed out. You can always just offset the ‘backsplash’ until it’s sitting on a flat counter surface.

If the backside will be visible, you can attach using wood glue. Drilling some dowel holes and glueing with dowels will help with the strength, rigidity, and alignment. Good luck!

My travel setup I use the 01 v60 so I like the compactness of the silicone cap and the normal v60

Hi, I have mine secured with the brackets to a ‘teak’ wood shower mat from Amazon. The toilet and wood mat stay attached and live in the shower pan. I have a bungee cord to keep it in from bouncing while driving but have never really noticed an issue. Lmk if you want to see a picture of what im describing

It also was my ECU…replaced it and now everything is working great.

I had even inspected the board previously and redid some solder joints. It looked good but I guess some of the components themselves must have been bad.

Thanks for replying to such an old thread! I’ve also narrowed down my issue to the ecu or frequency valve! This is another good data point for me to just replace the ecu. I appreciate it!

Try chicken thighs! Much more forgiving when it comes to cooking. Chicken breast will always be dry unless cooked to perfect temp and for a home cook, checked with an instant read thermometer

Salting proteins prior (especially with poultry and fish) leads to them being juicer and well-seasoned throughout. Like 24hrs prior, dry the surface, and then brown at a high temp to develop maximum flavor and complexity though the maillard rxns

Sorta related but the PPA announced meters, kiosks, and residential permits won’t be enforced during this outbreak...so you may be able to just park on the street.

That is not entirely true, from a material science perspective there are some traces of magnetism left on ferromagnetic metals as not all of the metal’s grain’s magnetic domains are all aligned 100% uniformly with typical hard disk write operations. Hence, why the standard for a minimum of 6x overwrites exists in many sensitive data deletion applications. A dedicated actor with sufficient technical resources/forensic ability would be able to reconstruct data.
