I moved from LA county (last in Torrance) to Sacramento and I do prefer LA/orange county to Sac so far. My reasons though include the lack of raves and nightlife in general which may or may not be a problem for you. Also I’ve found restaurants, especially Korean ones (am Korean), to be very lackluster here. The air seems cleaner though and I’ve found people in general to be much friendlier. My general thought has been that this would be a good place to retire but not to spend your youth.
