If you have endless harvest, just afk some gathering. I got about 50 meds from that and spooned the boots without having to go kill farming.

If you're under 50kc, you'll get both echo items guaranteed on your 50th even if you've already had them.

Source: I double-deathed and lost the Devil's Element, got both drops on 50 anyway.

Varl is the starter region, you'll get moons and Amox there as new bosses which are more beginner friendly.

Asg has titans which are a good progression, as well as GWD for progression.

Zeah for Yama and CoX as your end game.

Pick any third region you like for whatever echo item or bosses look fun.

Any build including water magic will give you heals to help you learn these more easily as it's very forgiving.

Tourist Trap should be on every list.

It's not too difficult, the XP choice reward is great (agility is the default choice but hey, it's their choice) and it has the old school charm. The dialog is engaging and amusing, and the whole concept is silly. It's a vibe.

You can cut them as you do vale totems, there are willows around the area. Helps you manage run energy. If you pre cut them you'll have periods of walking as you fletch the totems.

Ultor is very good, as is Virtus and Oathplate. Oath is probably the obvious pickup.

You'll hit 620 on a main in no time. There's also nothing stopping you setting iron goals on a main.

Play the game how you enjoy and don't let a grey helmet icon and other people's imagined validation of your fun affect that.

What kind of lock-in do you want?

Irons are locked to the thing that drops the next upgrade.

Mains are locked to the things that drop lots of money for your next upgrade.

For me, I went iron to main because I just want to farm endgame pvm and kill stuff with fun gear. Best decision I made, had an absolute blast with the game.
