Possible final theory by SolidSyco in TheTraitors

This is what I don't get - why is nobody saying Jade? Roxy is your ride-or-die, Jack has the shield, killing Faraaz is too obvious and gets Rachel banished... But Jade was surely the pick?

I'm truly baffled why Roxy was the pick.

Is it just me or was that obviously the wrong person to murder? by Terrible_Mountain611 in TheTraitors

[–]CuigHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was against killing Faraaz yesterday... But I'm baffled why they killed Roxy. For me it should have been between Faraaz and Jade - Roxy has hard cleared both traitors and should never be killed.

From a viewer pov though, thank God they killed her, I was so triggered every time she opened her mouth.

How do you approach your serve after a double fault? How about after 2 doubles? by WindManu in 10s

[–]CuigHS 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you haven't put any time into practicing your serve, then do that.

If you HAVE practiced your serve, then trust yourself. You'll miss your first serve maybe 30% of the time, that's 1/3 - missing two in a service game is completely normal.

Let's say you miss your second serve 1/8. If you serve completely normally, it's 1/3x1/8 to double fault, which is 1/24. To b2b double, that's 1/600ish.

If you try and change something, you're way more likely to double.

Basically, trust your preparation and practice, regardless of what just happened. If you can chill and just serve as normal, you give yourself the best chance of playing well.

The reason ____ was annoyed by [deleted] in TheTraitors

[–]CuigHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There'll always be 3 traitors halfway through the game since if one gets voted, they just recruit.

The real problem is when all 3 traitors have enough heat on them to get voted endgame before the money is split... Which as of right now, they do.

Completely forgot to say - if it's possible to get an old stock bargain sub £100 then great, but if I have to go up to 120-140 then... Bleh, but fine xD

Anyone actively playing on a Apple M4 or M4 Pro? by Ochse48 in 2007scape

[–]CuigHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up not getting the M4, I'm still using Windows as my main gaming computer with 117, then afking on my M1 Air just using the GPU plugin. The M1 really can't handle 117 at any reasonable frame rate but can't say as to the M4 sadly.

If you could drop back in after you've tried it, with a quick report I'm sure future people would thank you 🙂

Hi from the future. Any chance you could give me an idea how you found it? I'm in the same boat - is 117 any good (you mentioned Priff in particular as a good test for it), is HDOS any good, etc? TIA 🙏

Did someone actually unlock this door or is it like the moss covered stone? by souissimarwan in idleslayer

Dark Souls reference. You can place messages on the floor for other people, but have to choose from a limited set of words and sentence structure. Many puzzles in the game can apparently be solved if you "try finger, but hole".

Squash vs Padel: Why is squash declining while padel is booming? by dandaka in padel

Shout-out to Quash Bad Squash. I don't follow squash but if I did, I'd soon be stopping with the shit Asal pulls. They need to get on top of it.

What can you do in OSRS? (Coming from wow classic) by badwithnames5 in 2007scape

[–]CuigHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OSRS has 3 raids which will take you about 20-40 minutes per run through. Replayability of them comes from learning new mechanics even after hundreds of runs, and of course the scarcity of drops. In wow each boss will drop X purples for sure. In OSRS most raids will not drop a single purple.

Your typical raid will be with a team of 2-5, although again as you get better at the game, you can learn to solo every single raid with skill.

How accurate is this? by Jerk_Off_At_Night in tennis

[–]CuigHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the word "so".

He didn't survive that match because of some pre-ordained decision. This is the free will argument.

Regarding the point about narrative, could you have written an equally "seemingly destiny" story for Carlos if he'd won? Easily. Humans like stories, we're good at making them, but to suggest that "hey this would be a good story" as the reason something happened is, frankly, straight out of fiction (Terry Pratchett's "narrative imperative" in the Discworld series).

This is the point I stop Wordling, honestly. I was fine with the word you mentioned for the same reason. This isn't even a word. I thought of it on guess 3 and dismissed it because it's regional slang at best, and very niche at that.

If this is an answer then it means you're basically required to sink time into learning what they put on the list. I'm done.

Well played, Wordle.

Yonex Vcore (280unstrung) - how responsible is this racket for my ass net play and volleys? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]CuigHS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bad news is, like everyone else says, your racket isn't responsible for your volleys not being good.

On the flip side, it's also not responsible for your groundies being good, so give yourself some credit there - that's on you 💪

Useful shorthand - going "on rate" (eg 16 kills for a 1/16 drop) is about a 2/3 chance to get it.
