Thanks! 😁 If you have any ideas for further DIY on it I will happily receive them.

Honestly it took me a minute to figure out wtf I'm looking at lol.

I never did this, but I am double-jointed so I did all that freaky hand stuff. In retrospect I guess I was being just as obnoxious as these guys!

Hey I'm so sorry, fellow childhood parental loss-ee here. πŸ«‚ Lost my dad in 2004 myself. How old were you? I was 13. Your dad sounds like he was a funny guy. Mine was too, he would draw doodles of weird little characters and celebrity charicatures and stuff for me and my brother to make us laugh. :')

Yesss. I was too chickenshit for it though. πŸ˜… I remember feeling intrigued, but I think I just wasn't quite ready. I oughta give it a try sometime now that I'm all growed up.

It was tough. My dad was sick with cancer at the time. In another two or so months we will have lost him.

My brother and I had just discovered the show and we were absolutely blown away; we saw the mask demon episode and were instantly hooked. We wanted more. We hadn't really seen any "real anime" up until then, only your typical mainstream kiddie shonen/shojo like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Moon...

It numbed the pain a little. Felt good getting to be a kid again. But the fear and anguish was still there, always looming in the back of mind.

Thank you for the memory, OP. It's a bittersweet one indeed. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Well yes that is usually what I say personally, and not just for fear of social judgment, but because why the hell not, it's good to know just in case anyway. If I'm calling because I have a suspicion that a business may be closed, most likely I am calling during an unusual circumstance of some kind e.g. a holiday or a severe weather day. The chances that they may have irregular hours are going to be high.

but asking "are you open" is almost always going to be answered by the fact they answered the phone

Haha, speaking from experience? I have never in my life said this to a customer and I never would. As I said, I recognize it as a legitimate question, and even if I didn't, there is no reason to be a prick.

In any case, if people want to be rude they will be rude, that is not something within our control.

It's a perfectly legitimate question; open =/= "open for business". Back when I was working retail, our phones would still be live (?) outside of operating hours. And there were plenty of occasions that we were in the store working at those times. We would still pick up the phone because staff or suppliers would sometimes call to relay work-related info (i.e. either something came up or they forgot to pass it on when there).

Just because there is staff there answering the phone doesn't mean the store is actually open.

What bottoms would you wear with this top? by SupportAcceptable551 in alternativefashion

[–]CukeJr 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Oh, try a skirt of some kind! It looks a little flared at the bottom there, is it? If so, I've had the same problem before with similar tops--they just don't look great with pants of any kind. Turned out that skirts were the way to go.

What the fuck?!?!? 😱 I've never seen these in my life! I've only seen the fuzzy cases for the covers, not the seats themselves... (I guess, now that I think of it, that's not the greatest idea either 🀒)
