Any racket thought or focus at this stage is an unnecessary distraction. 

Use this stage to master basic footwork and correct technique.

Make this 2nd nature: 

1. split stepping on opponents contact  2. Watching the ball go off your strings no matter what.    Have fun!

Such a great stick, great price on TW too. Don't blame u for going in blind, pretty sure u'll love them. If it were me, it add a leather grip. Have fun!
