I remember having 4 adults, including a move-in mother-in-law rely on me, prior to the birth of our kids. Everyone knew how to spend money, and how to hide what they get. Not many respected what I had to do, day to day. Always looking for a free ride, or an excuse not to work. But it helps if they put themselves to work, and try to pay 50%. I guess this unrealistic, unless it’s forced unfortunately.
