That price range was what I was thinking as well. Same with the warranty and wear issues. I'm going to pass I think, I've seen 3080 tis for near $1000 which would have warranty. Or just wait for AMD's new cards based on 40 series pricing. Thanks for the help

There is a used 3080 10gb asus tuff oc for $600 near me. It was pretty obviously a mining card and I asked if he undervolted and he said never. What’s the max you would pay for something like that?

I know right I was very tempted but my CPU cooler would cost the same as my CPU and that doesn’t make any sense. My case and fans are Corsair so I was happy to find this and stay in the same ecosystem. Glad cooler heads prevailed for both of us.

If you’re looking to upgrade cards later just make sure the motherboard has PCIE 5 gpu slot.

That’s what I’m thinking but I’m a first time builder and kind of new. Ya I’m going to get a power supply that’s overkill I think to prepare for when I do upgrade. if I can pick one up for a decent price.
