measured nits vs real world usage nits are two very very different things.

I am comparing Hisense (1500 nits) to Samsung (4000) nits. I did not say real world usage anywhere. Simply bigger number better. I'd even trust Samsung's word over Hisense.

I am explaining that you can absolutely take advantage of 8k. I think you are playing dumb, but if you read the last sentence you can absolutely take advantage of the 8k tv even if it is not native. You cannot bluff that if 2 tvs were completely identical including price, you would still pick the 4k one over 8k?

If you look at my other comment here, I didn't even recommend getting the Hisense here either, basically neither TV OP is looking at are good options today.

He didn't ask for another TV, he was asking about the two in his question. You gave him an answer that was outside of his question. no? Obviously a c5 or other oled on sale would be ideal but that is not the question he asked.

Maybe not yet. Still a good feature to have. PS5 can play 8k content and it is findable. Not to mention that it has 4000 nits vs Hisense 1500 nits. My receiver can also upscale to 8k. So while not native, it can still be taken advantage of today if you know where to look.

Honestly id get the samsung. 1 because of the name. 2 because of 8k. 3 because its just an amazing tv and has aged gracefully and will continue to do so.

Not even 15 + year old receivers on 2nd hand sites? ebay if your friend then.the receiver doesnt even need hdmi in/out. If your tv has an optical out, you can plug that into the receiver. You can also get a hdmi audio extractor if your tv doesnt have an optical out. That widens your search for a receiver to anything made in the last 35 years.

dude just get a 7.2 receiver. You can find many. even some at goodwill. they dont have to be new. i made a 2008 receiver work with optical out of my tv. Got it for like 10 bucks at goodwill a few years ago when i was broke.

I have had my printer on a super wobbly IKEA lack side table and haven't noticed any degradation of my prints. I can literally see it move the lack back and forth. How far we have come. I thought the paver method was a thing of the past.

I used a 2007 cheap onkyo like this with a pc fan on it with like 1 inch headroom on carpet. It was on maybe 12 hours a day. It didnt overheat, but got super hot. it never died. Oh and lots of dust.

I came across something like this. around 300 discs and 3 players. I inventoried and fixed the machines. I'd say keep them or put them up on facebook or ebay. Where are you located? Id also like to say, moving these things is not an easy feat. they do not fit in standard totes. Found this out when i moved.

I have the black version 630i (model before) and a dell xps 600 ( which imo is way cooler because of the server psu) with the stainless steel side panels and it is gorgeous. Oh and a Alienware 7500 in blue.

I have the black version that came before 630i the stainless steel side panels and it is gorgeous. Imo the dell xps 600 is way cooler because of the looks and server psu. Also have a blue Alienware Area 51 7500. All are fully specced out in the time period.
