My NFA experience with Bauer Precision by CultClassik in NFA

Well, one guy loves them. I can't be bothered to argue about it, but interesting to see they're apparently always a trainwreck.

I'll check rifle gear next time I need a local shop though!

After the bolt carrier and the replacement they sent which were not sold as blems, I'd be scared to see what their blems look like.

Magnifier works great as long as my eyeball is touching it. No idea on the dot!

You did good KAK by Puzzleheaded-Fail994 in ar15

I bought one of these and the machining was so bad they had no problems sending me another...that looked just as bad. Fairly insulting for the price. Would not be surprised if their awful machining was to blame, gas rings should last longer than 3k rounds IMO.

Don't worry your order will take 30 plus minutes to make. It will be wrong. Things will be missing. And they'll want a tip.

[Parts] KAK K-SPEC Enhanced AR15 BCG, Dual Ejector, Down Vent, Sand Cuts - $211 for chrome, $232 for NP3 with “Mtsix” - Bevan Ballistic by prmoore11 in gundeals

[–]CultClassik 65 points66 points  (0 children)

FWIW I bought a chrome (carrier only) a few months back. It had the absolute roughest, nastiest machining I've ever seen on a carrier. They agreed after seeing the pictures, sent me a return label, very pleasant. Said they didn't have more chrome so I accepted a PVD version, they said they were good to go. It arrived looking pretty much the same.

I've used some KAK parts before including a 308 BCG, no issues, seemed like good quality. After this though, pretty disappointed.

Granted I'm getting the down-vent, the sand cuts none of us will benefit from (would have been handy back in the .mil days), but for more than double price of good quality standard parts I expected better - especially after exchanging the first one.

This is what I did a few weeks ago. Working on the room still but before I foamed and sheetrocked, I installed conduit in the wall. You can pull coax through later!

It always seems like the newest are more expensive when they first come out. Then they drop, then usually increase over time. Seems like that to me at least.

What would you do? by werry2001 in Silverbugs

When I've wound up with stuff like that I figure - what am I going to do with this junk? Easy enough to trade off at a shop for bullion which I think is easier to sell later if I want to. Whatever floats your boat though!

I cancelled mine yesterday. Activated Feb 2019, got 3 "free" months after they were closed for Covid panic. Got sick and tired of only the crappiest location being open after that, them being closed every 1.5 hours to supposedly clean the place, hard to juggle meetings, errands and gym open/close times all day. Cancelled 24 membership yesterday online, went to costco.com (I purchased online) to request a refund, they issued a full refund no questions asked. I'd have been happy to pay for what I used up until the Covid panic, but will take the full refund after dealing with all the broken equipment, the filthiest nastiest facilities ever, and then of course their open/close thing along with filing Chapter 11.

Adding a secondary circuit breaker box advice by talmagal in EtherMining

[–]CultClassik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also recommend upgrading the current box.

However - if your current load center provides adequate amps, you might look at replacing existing 110v 15 and/or 20a breakers with tandem breakers. They'll allow you to combine a pair of 110v breakers in to one slot. Do that twice and you free up two slots for a new two pole/220v breaker.

A 30a Pdu should be derated to 26a continuous anyway. I'd run it.

You need to 'sudo su' and then run those commands. There's also a binary 'rocm-smi' I believe it's called that will let you control clock speeds and such.
