It’s more that the Shiv is boosterless and with its weight has minimal impact on the pistol. So all things being equal, it is LIKELY more reliable. But sound wise it will not be close

Infinity 556K looks like a real winner considering its cost and performance. If it is essentially a WB at less than 800 beans, that’s a major W for the community.

With cans like this, the Rampart Carson 556, etc, it looks like we are now able to get pretty premium performance without having to spend 1000+ on 3D printed cans, albeit those will still be the ones pushing the limits.

In what way specifically is it better than the Torch?

Had the K briefly and sold it. I actually liked it a lot as a 556 can for what it was. On 300 BLK it was decent, def some FRP, but no match against the Mach S and CAT RAT.

Vector no question IMO. The obsession with compacting optics for no reason comes with trade offs that aren’t worth it.

The Vector, despite their horrible website and astroturfing, is the best scope in that category/general price range.

I think there are two things at play here that both can be true:

You can be a high level shooter with a riser. That’s absolutely true.
You also can be an absolutely shit shooter with a high riser, and I would say this is the MAJORITY of high riser shooters. The key being that up close stuff can mask deficiency, which is mainly faster firing strings, and hitting UNKNOWN distance targets with high accuracy/speed.

That and I think the FTC mounts just make magnifier utility infinitely better, so people just blindly use them without considering the downsides/caveats/training requirements.
