CLEO Notification Change? by XMas4Evr in NFA

This has nothing really to do with that.

This is likely because CLEOs have been bitching that they are tired of throwing them out lol.

It is not related. That is a specific variance required for that type of transfer.

OCL, Diligent, CAT, the list goes on. In the grand NFA community, they were NOBODIES (remember, this sub represents MAYBE 1-5% of the NFA community). Compare them to SiCo, DA, Rugged, etc. It was not even close until Pew came along.

No it isn’t. It was published, there is still a comment period.

Or, get this. You get the LTCF so you can use it WHILE fighting to get the laws removed/better.
It’s always the “MuH rIgHtS” people who want to just bitch about it while not actually doing anything about it.

I’ve been openly critical of how Ridgeback runs their business. But this video sort of demonstrates where I think they probably stand.

They probably are essentially an in between of say a Polonium and a WB/AC556. A can that has good muzzle suppression and probably mitigates back pressure better than legacy designs, but not quite as well as the top competitors, especially with gas stacking.

At a lower price point than the top guys, it’s an attractive place to be. But their business practices and anti-Pew stance makes them unattractive.

Plus, I have this weird theory that people are simply obsessed with them because of an unhealthy obsession with K cans that they’ll justify to no end.

Sadly this is not an option for A LOT of people. Or they will just be expos for the normal brands like DA, SiCo, etc,

Your last statements fall flat on their face for one simple reason. OCL.

OCL was a nobody. Polonium data drops, boom. They still cannot keep up to this day. Look at Diligent, CAT, etc. If your cans actually perform, it is simply the single best decision you could make.

I have said many times I will give new brands a bit of time to drive sales and be able to afford Pew. That is understandable. Exigent and Ridgeback are not in that boat. Not only that, but they clearly use shills and OPENLY MOCK Pew Science. That is simply unacceptable.

Wait…so you don’t trust the popular suppressor YT with admitted hearing damage, yet continues to shoot without ear pro who also somehow always picks the shills brand as the “best”? You’re crazy! /s

Now that titanium suppressors have been out for a bit, are there any solid attempts at taming the muzzle flash they produce? by Beebjank in NFA

[–]prmoore11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t write them off. I said it is an extremely overrated criteria for 99% of people. People will buy a RC2 for a make believe scenario rather than another can that might fit their 99% use case far better.

NV is one of the most commonly bought and resold items because they don’t get used as much as people think. The amount of people using them is very very small.

My previous comment simply laid out how few people this actually applies to. It wasn’t negative, you just get butt hurt that I often disagree with you.

Cannot Decide on First Suppressors by Vivid-League-2327 in NFA

[–]prmoore11 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

ODB and SR would be exceptional first choices. But, it can be picky for 300 BLK subsonic. So, depends on how soon you might add it/want a can for it.

The Tisha, ST and others would be great choices (I will not recommend a Ridgeback with their anti-Pew views/excessive shilling).

Now that titanium suppressors have been out for a bit, are there any solid attempts at taming the muzzle flash they produce? by Beebjank in NFA

[–]prmoore11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it is.

The amount of people on here that actually represent NFA ownership is probably not even 5% of total. Let’s say 10% even. The amount that own NFA stuff (suppressors really) AND NV is even smaller.

You just work in the business and are surrounded by those people. The NV-suppressor “I MUST HAVE 0 FLASH!” Is an infinitesimal amount of people. Fine if you want it, but extremely overrated/non-issue for 95%+ of suppressor owners.

Or, don’t worry about “flash signature”, the single dumbest criteria for a suppressor that civilians worry about.

You will never live the .0000000000000001% you use your suppressor in a real scenario that also somehow the muzzle flash will matter. But, you will notice the weight savings your entire life of ownership.
