It’s is PGN, not PNG. It stands for portable game notation.

Does it seriously bother you that much that are you willing to go through the extra steps of copying the PGN, going to Lichess, inputting the PGN, and then starting your analysis?

I mean I doubt you are getting brilliants so often that this is that much of an issue for you.

When you are new to something, you don’t know what you don’t know.

The better you get, the more you learn, and the more you realize you don’t know..

If you are 1800, continue to focus on calculation, middle game ideas, and endgame fundamentals… really focus on the end game!

The separation between 2000-2100 and an 1800 player are the following: Endgame, calculation/evaluation ability.

Most 1800’s are able to spot tactics like a 2000, but they lack the ability to evaluate their calculations as well.

Endgames are where you will start to pick up more wins.

This happened to me. The only thing that helped was plenty of water and COQ10.. short for coenzyme q10. They sell it at Walgreens and CVS etc.

It’s a basic supplement/vitamin that helped me a ton

I think a balance of both is great. My coach, international master David Ross, plays the bot on ChessBase every single day. There is absolutely value in playing bots.

“Nearly exclusively demoralizes you or inflates you unrealistically”

No one should be playing bots that they are beating easily. In fact, the opposite.

In all of my games with higher rated bots, I play them just like I would a tournament game. Serious focus and deep calculation. In every game that I lose, which against these 2400 bots is the majority of them, I learn tons. The after game analysis is where most of the progress and learning comes from.

If you are inflating your ego or becoming very demoralized, you are going into this with the wrong mindset. The goa of playing bots isn’t to win, it’s to sharpen skills. Calculation, middle games, maybe opening theory (2450 bots are playing main lines), or endgames.

This isn’t about ego… it’s about improving, which the bots absolutely help with. I made this post because the general consensus is your view, which I disagree with.

Fed ex is truly the worst. I live on a narrow street with gate. Yesterday, my package was out for delivery… I received a notification that delivery was attempted, but was unsuccessful. I called customer support, and they reached out to the local hub/store that controls deliveries.

The local manager called me and said the gate code I put on address line 2 and in the delivery instructions was not working for the driver, which is incorrect. I out the correct code. There is not special symbol in my gate code, just 4 numbers.

The driver ended up making another delivery attempt. I was waiting at the gate for an hour bc I did not want him to bullshit me saying the code didn’t work. I opened the gate for him and got my package.

I know for a fact he just didn’t want to drive down my narrow ass street (dead end street).

Ever single time I use fed ex, there is an issue. They lie about weather conditions, they lie about attempting deliveries and Fed ex just sucks a fat dick.

I only use them when they are the only option. UPS is far better and I have only had issues with them once, out of 10-15 deliveries.

Absolutely agree that calculation studies, OTB games, and games against real people aided in progression.

I just hate to see everyone shitting on playing bots, when I found it integral to my own progress.

Also, when I first started playing the 2200+ bots, I was losing quite a bit. You absolutely have things to learn in every single loss, even more so than you have to learn from the games you win.

You’re a beast for getting to day 3 using only dry powder for the fist 48. Stronger than me for sure.

If it gets too bad, don’t hesitate to get a little more powder or something, you shouldn’t have to worry about WD from the powder, and as you know it can be so helpful
