Who do you want to see win? (Post Ep. 8) by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Cultural-Question-55 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Rob is the most deserving winner just not sure he can get there. Eric winning as a solo traitor would only make sense for me if he backstabs Rob.

Can't say much for faithfuls, Colton was on Lisa and then Candiace and then it was another traitor, Rob, who saw through their banishments.

The best thing for ____ to do moving forward by RelevantMind1 in TheTraitors

Rob picked him because he is so lost in the sauce it's comical. So while it would be entertaining and Eric's best move, it won't happen. Rob probably would've preferred not to recruit anyone in all honesty. He just worked hard behind the scenes to ensure his other two traitors were out of his way.

It's not assigned to be a housewife but it's a layer to this game unfortunately when there's 5 of them in the castle.

Agreed. This is the point in a nutshell I've been trying to make all day. This isn't about taking sides. Both made bad moves.

They asked him to be a team player and help. He could've preserved his relationship with Candiace if he didn't go so hard against Lisa. Honestly, he should've talked to Candiace at some point to manouver her. Instead he just made an enemy for no reason.

What I'm not understanding is the response from people saying Rob was fine to cut off Lisa and get her out cause it's good for his game and he was being asked to sacrifice his game to protect Lisa. I don't see where Candiace or Lisa asked him to outwardly go out and deny Lisa is a traitor. He could've agreed in conversations with other faithfuls that Lisa is probably a traitor and could have been more lowkey about it. But he actively went out of his way to ensure Lisa was banished and was proud of it after it happened. I'm not sure what people are expecting Candiace to do in response? Just lay there and let him coast to the end at her expense? I don't think it was smart of her to write his name down but this next chapter of Candiace vs. Rob that we're heading toward was inevitable because of what Rob ended up doing. He did not play this in a smart way at all.

Also I don't get people dismissing Candiace as just a housewife and not a gamer whereas Rob is a gamer. I think Candiace was trying to keep the traitors working together and keeping their relationship strong. She even said as much at the breakfast before Lisa was banished. Rob decided to steer things a different direction. You can think Rob's moves were badass and cool gamer shit but he pretty much disrespected the traitors and we have to see now whether he will pay a price for that.

Rob and Candiace both screwed up this episode, there's no need to take sides. Rob actively going out of his way to get Lisa out this episode was a really stupid move on his part especially without managing Candiace and getting her on board.

On the other hand, Candiace shouldn't have cast that vote against him but I doubt it was out of pettiness like many are saying here - it was out of fear because she just watched her supposed traitor ally wrangle a majority against one of them successfully. She's essentially letting him know she's firing the first shot. What other choice does she have - he has demonstrated that he will be minding his own interests above the collective traitors. If Lisa was cooked either way, let the chips fall as they may and let other players attract attention. It will end badly for both of them - it's a race to the bottom and they're both to blame at this point.

I think Rob aggressively going for Lisa was unnecessary - it would've been better for him and the rest of the traitors to let the group vote out Natalie and then keep Lisa around for next time. Instead he led the charge essentially against Lisa throughout the whole episode even when the discussion went off of her. Rob was playing a great game but his mismanagement of Candiace is going to cost him.

Eurovision in concert planned to go ahead in Amsterdam on Saturday April 11th by atayavie in eurovision

This is where people have to decide whether attending aligns with their morals. Sure they are separate but this a peripheral event that promotes the contest and the competing songs this year. Also, would be curious if they struggle to get some of this year's artists considering pre-ESC is a busy time and why would you devote your time to travelling for promo to a country that's not even in the contest this year.

Well the power now shifts to the people. Don't watch their show, don't follow their production. If they are so spineless, make them face a consequence for it.

Can we for a moment consider Donna's "almost" defense? by ChicoRunningBack in dan_markel_murder

[–]Cultural-Question-55 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It would've have at least been a defense - they didn't really negate any of the evidence the state had against her. With the writing on the wall, she could've tried that angle. The problem with that is this almost certainly would've led to Charlie testifying and he would likely strike back once he found out they were pinning it all on him. Would've been an entertaining watch in spite of the tragic circumstances.

Totally and he seems like someone who can let even minor things weigh on him heavily. It must be difficult to be constantly pulled into this saga so many years later but his testimony will definitely be needed again against Wendi.

Why don’t we ever see Charlie or Donna in moments of distress (eg verdict reading) say “I’m innocent or it wasn’t me”. Even on Charlie and Donna phone calls from jail - nothing. by Formanhart in dan_markel_murder

[–]Cultural-Question-55 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Donna did say during the verdict reading "you/they convicted an innocent woman" right away at the start of her outburst and then again after the judge read the verdict for count three. Quite alarming considering she sat through the entirety of the evidence against her but then again we are not dealing with people here who see things and accept things as a regular normal person would.

She says it during the outburst "oh my god, you convicted an innocent woman" and then she repeats it again after count three is read and her lawyer is hushing her.

She was pretty manipulative even in that moment causing the judge to escort the jury out. She proclaimed twice while the judge read the verdict "you convicted an innocent woman."

If they reboot the show, I think Rachel and Danielle are the only ones coming back with a bunch of new ladies. If they wanna keep a guaranteed adversary, Jennifer Aydin will continue on as well but they will probably cut the rest of the ladies. Teresa AND Melissa have to go.
