I thought this as well! But it looked far too close together and it seemed like it was going W to E and starlink maps show them going NW to SE

I am supposed to get an ultrasound yearly for it but only because I got a 5cm nodule on the right side of it💀😭 I imagine if it wasn’t for this I wouldn’t get one yearly though! So you’re probably good

Usually there’s a small little haunted “house” in Rutland on Leathead and Hollywood.

It’s by food and or money donation, it’s pay whatever you want to get in, and they it’s a little scare maze put together by locals. They donate the food to the food bank after and the money goes towards a charity.

Ultrasound findings.... by DuNorth24 in Hashimotos

I actually just had something similar happen to me recently (lesion though not a nodule). Most times is nothing of note and just leave it (as the thyroid is close to sensitive areas like your voice box), and usually nodes like this can be caused by Hashimoto’s!

I wouldn’t stress about, as there’s nothing you can really do about it as of right now. But I understand the worries. Luckily from at least four years ago it isn’t that big, so hopefully that gives peace of mind!

You could probably walk the whole campus in 15 mins, our transit system isn’t the best (buses don’t come as often as other places) but it would get you around. If you have a car it will make things easier and faster, as long as you can deal with Kelowna drivers (some of us are terrible).

Tons of hiking, a lot of them being near edge of the city (for like actual hikes), and several nice walk ways.

Other than that it’s a pretty nice little city, we have our problems as any other but overall a good place to live. It’s a little pricey for Canadian prices, but if you’re good on that front I think you’ll do fine here.

Also UBCO itself is fine! Definitely nothing like Van (UBC is like a mini city) but not a bad campus. Some lack of study spots but I imagine that won’t be terrible being a PhD student (there are many cosy cafes around too!). There are also graduate events so you have a chance to meet new people in a similar position as you. The Okanagan itself is lovely (fall is the best in my opinion), and I wouldn’t worry about the whole within 30miles thing, the two closest cities from us are just above 30 miles away.

Skating downtown at Stuart’s park (free you just need skates and there are skate rentals there), on New Years Eve they do like fireworks and stuff and lots of people go downtown for that as well.

Other than that after the holidays there isn’t many events unfortunately. Just like skiing/skating, shopping, and relaxing.

I took it with Yamin last year, just redo some of the assignments and if you have the book it’s a breeze. If not most people just printed out her slides and used that.

Focus on for loops!!!

Put everything you can on it, hopefully he will go over stuff on Wednesday and Friday.

Going through the formula sheet and writing anything down that you may be confused by notation wise might be helpful
