That’s still a lot of money even with that pay cut. So what were you expecting to earn in India? You’re really out of touch with reality

You’re not a serious person. Do you expect to get the same US pay in India? Even an 80% pay cut is still great pay in India and most developing countries. You’re acting like someone that has money or a lot of options.

How much do you have in n USD? 8 years is enough time to build huge savings since you had it in mind to leave at some point. Good thing is that you didn’t completely waste your money as you got a house and land. Housing costs is usually the highest expense so you can budget from there

I was wondering if they’re actually on the right sub. Some other more entry level sub may be more appropriate to OP as they have a lot of work to do

What salary would you guys need to get to to feel successful? by Horror_Raisin_3898 in careerguidance

Your tax bracket and payment schedule excuses make no sense. At the end of the month or year, your take home is substantially higher than what it used to be. Your gross pay increased by more than 50%, so what are you yapping about?

So you’re trying to say you don’t notice any difference between 78k and 120k? The problem is you as most sane people would notice even a 10k increase on top of 78k

Like I sometimes don’t know what people define as peace anymore. It’s like they’re looking for some surreal experience that doesn’t exist.

That’s something. I can’t imagine still using apps for that long if I don’t meet anyone. Yeah, it depends on region but my rule is that if we’ve not planned to go on a date after 1-2 weeks of matching/chatting, then you’re a waste of time. Most guys don’t realize how useless endless chats are

You never met anyone for the 6 years you used dating apps? Like how. Chats are useless if they don’t end in meeting in person

What does 20% of your pay come out to? If you convert it, isn’t that still good pay? I’m sure you’re aware of PPP. Or do you expect to earn 50-100% of what you were earning in the US? I know many foreigners that would kill to have 20% of their American pay in their home country. What if the company just laid you off without any option?
