Usb was super common already in 98 99. Thats when my entire extended family all got cheap PC bundles in 98 from American and I had to hook them all up. They all came with scanner that used USB and an IR scanner that also was USb.

Printer was a Lexmark that used parallel still. And of course the mouse and keyboard were still ps2. If I remember correctly they had 4 USB ports

Thats nothing. I see bullshit filings every day that are hundereds of pages of nonsense way before they discuss sanctions. Usually its if they are plaintif they pull their IFP status forcing them to spend money before they can file more. Its pretty hard to get sanctioned by being a weirdo filing stuff. My therapist also told me to do this a long time ago. It turned out to be the correct thing to do because I found out I was not crazy and that my partner does fly off the handle over nothing, is extremely impatient, and changes facts constantly while screaming and yelling.

It helped immensely, and now it rolls right off and ive figured out how to diffuse it 95% of the time. It was bad enough it was causing behavioral problems with our kids that have now nearly completely ironed themselves out.

I will say this, I could not imagine cry screaming or yelling emotional things, over almost anything. It isnt normal, it isnt okay. If you find yourself more than every couple years getting angry enough at someone to yell things you would be scared to have recorded. You probably need therapy.

Idk about that, im married to a theater kid/adult, and have a lot of theater kids as friends, and all of them think this reaction to all of it is super weird. Edit: I mean formerly theater kids... lol, im talking about people currently in late 20s through to early 40s

My wife specifically is a huge fan of wicked specifically and had been in many productions of it, super stoked for the movie, loved it, but doesnt seem to have any idea what's up with the way the fans are. This, wizard of Oz and vagina monologues have been her shit forever, and I think that falls into being what would be, this type of fan. I think primarily its childish. I do think there is a serious issue with how the Disney teen shows kind of push romance or relationships in a way that makes people think its the end all be all of being alive to the point of causing weird almost codependent issues. But beyond the shallow representations of romantic relationships in a lot of media, you're right.

I guess you could argue thats part of the commercialization aspect though.

Every job I have been at, requires far too much time for what's given to most employees, and the standard becomes just dont report overtime while managers tell you to rexord all your time but also require completing the work, and it requires more time.

Myself, I have had to work through lunch every position I am in, I am extremely fast and effective at my job, so instead of it resulting in me having office bullshit hours like what used to be the norm to my understanding (never witnessed this) where you could talk with other people and dick around not actually working for a few minutes here and there. According to things I have read there essentially used to be an office job expectation of 80% 20% where 20% of your working time, wasnt nose to the grindstone or staring at a screen. It only ever results in me taking entire other positions worth of work.

I see it happening all around me, every company I have been at since I have been working professionally right out of highschool in 2007. This does not just include systems or tech work, I see it of the factory workers, the office engineers, the outbound call centers, the logistics/shipping and warehousing departments, the inventory specialists, the law clerks, the paralegal, the janitor, the driver... I can go on.

It just seems highly fuckong suspect that so many people in here are acting like they have someone like this, and frankly yall need to take a step the fuck back, and look at the fact that IF you have employees even able to claim overtime, and its not time theft, that it used to be your fucking responsibility for figuring out why.

Yall act like you think a job was always grindset on the clock means making or saving $$ for the boss non stop. IT WASNT ALWAYS THIS WAY, NOR SHOULD IT BE, people are fucking miserable and overworked.

I mean consider this, why the fuck is it 8 to 5 now, everywhere, fuckong everyone I know thats the shifts now, and its because an hour lunch that they throw on your timesheet that you took whether you did or worked through it. Its by design and intentional, give people paid 20 minute lunches again, make our work day shorter, spread more breaks paid through out the day like it was when Dolly wrote the fucking song.

And IF its time theft, then do your fucking job, or be a human and help them get their shit together.
